WDEFUN Aquarium Filter Media, 300 ml 2 Packs with Free Mesh Bag Organic Filtration Resin, Remove Driftwood Tannins Suitable for Freshwater and Saltwater Fish Tank

I placed this in the filter of my fish tank and I can’t remember, but I believe it took like three days for it to clear my water before you can’t tell, but my water was a tea color because of the Driftwood in my tank. Have clear water now. Comes in a plastic jar with a lid and two different units come in the star. I have a 36-gallon tank so I removed with gloves removed half of the product out of one of the bags and placed that bag inside of my filter. I love the idea that you can recharge it I haven’t tried that yet since I just got it. The black bag you see in my tank is something completely different for cycling purposes only. Great quality it wouldn’t fit in my filter unless I took some of the product out and placed it in the jar. Great price compared to other products similar. This is the first time I’ve used anything like this and I’m pretty happy. It hasn’t messed with my water quality either.

It works just as well as Purigen. I used to have purigen in all of my tanks, with a little plastic bin I used to recharge it one it got filled. It worked okay but it was a lot of hassle and bleach going around. This product not only works just as well, but it's cheaper, and it already comes in a bag, unlike purigen that you have to buy a bag separately for way too much money. I've got 2 of these in the last chamber of my FX6 in a 75 Gallon and the water looks crystal clear, will definitely be ordering these more.

Does what it says! This works the same as purigen. It's resin, so you can take the packet out to bleach and clean and reuse. I got it in the mail Monday night, and tank is clear today (less than 48 hours). I'm running an fx4 on a 55 gal (OVERKILL) with 10 cichlids, a clown loach, bright plant light, and tons of hornwort, so the filter keeps up nicely but tannins were getting annoying (I want my blue cichlids to appear blue). If you're familiar w fx4, it has a lot of great different filter media, but won't remove all the trains without help (obviously some people want a good tannin tank) I was too lazy to disconnect my FX4, so I parked the packet by the filter outlet. Made a brief dust cloud, should have rinsed it first. It probably would have worked even faster if I'd put it in the filter like I should.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I don't know or understand how these pouches work, but they are magic. Absolutely astonishing that, in less than 24 hours, they can clear my water where I've failed to using traditional methods. My driftwood was boiled for hours before adding it to the tank. Weekly water changes still could not keep up with the tannins still being released. I pulled the driftwood and boiled them for another 6 hrs, changing my stock pot water every hour. Still more tannins. I decided to try something else & the reviews on this sounded promising. Within minutes of inserting these pouches into my filtration, I could see a top layer of clear water. When I returned home from work late that night, my tank was mostly clear but a little hazy & I was concerned. By morning, the water was beautiful (18 hours). The parameters were perfect. My plants & fish are thriving and I've even discovered baby hillstream loaches (they were not noticable in the tinted waters)! The instructions were no good & I disposed of the pouches after use (soaking in a bleach water solution did not sound safe to me) but I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again if needed.

Works just as well as Seachem Purigen! I have a Malaysian driftwood centerpiece in my 10gal that leaches so many tannins and this keeps my aquarium very clear. Once it is in your filter you cannot smell it, and it has not affected my water parameters, all my fish have remained healthy. it took a couple weeks for the media to start turning brown, and itss still functioning and keeping my water clear despite looking like it is ready to be thrown out.

The stuff definitely works, it's been 3 days and it's definitely clearing up my tank yay, nice size too, the mesh bags are nice, products comes in good quantity,light colored resin as in the picture which helps you to see when they're dirty, bags are durable, hasn't seemed to change my water quality in my tank that I've noticed maybe made it better, my tank is still cycling it's on its 3rd week

STOP wasting your money on Purigen. I went out on a limb to try this and it works identically to purigen except you get so much more for the price!! Good size, easy to use and it’s left my water impeccably clear. It lasts for about 3 months in my 70 gallon tank that’s stocked with about 70” worth of fish. Recharge the same as Purigen instructions and you’re good to go!

These rinse clean and are reusable. The filtration is premium. It will fit in many filters and do a great job. It seems to be similar to diatomaceous earth used in some swimming pool and pond fillers if your considering research diatomaceous earth filtration for more information but just get these as they are close to correct size and properly contained in a mesh bag so the media doesn’t get out in the water of the tank.
