My First Colours & Shapes

I don’t know how anyone is giving this praise. It’s supposed to teach colours but it’s got one colour of each random object, so you cannot contextualise colour with the cards and you’ll have to rely on other sources of colour to achieve the goal of the cards. They could have made an entire pack devoted to colour to achieve this but they randomly threw in shapes too, they tried to do two things in one pack and end up doing nothing to help kids. It’s just really poor design, fine for someone who already understands colour or shapes, but that defeats the object of what this is for. I have tried to sit down with my toddler and say “red tomato” for example, but without any other red card to help her contextualise that I’m referring to colour, she has no idea what red is.

Really great flash cards but if you have a toddler that is a chewer these unfortunately go soft very very quickly in the mouth

Good quality, very clear and a good little learning tool, could do with a few more cards in the box, there’s a lot more space in there which makes it seem your are getting more than what you actually are
