I have installed a lot of gutter guards over the years. I purchased this roll and attempted to install it today. I cut and installed approximately nine feet of this gutter guard before I got very frustrated and gave up. I attempted to install this gutter guard by sliding one side of the guard under the roof shingles and attaching the other side to the outer edge of the gutter. This was extremely difficult, compared to installing other gutter guards that I have used in the past. Once installed, it doesn't look good at all, compared to other gutter guards that I have installed, because its shape gets bent and deformed when attempting to slide it under the roof shingles. Gloves are provided to assist a person in not getting cut or poked while working with the jagged edges. The jagged edges make it difficult to work with and slide under the roof shingles. After installing nine feet of this gutter guard, I threw the remaining roll in the trash and went to my local hardware store and purchased pre-cut three foot gutter guards for $1.49 each. I bought roll of these to use on a rental unit that I have and it is a great product. My problem was learning how to easily install it. I was by myself, so I tried to unroll all of it and slide it down from the roof as I moved from one end of the house to the next. This turned out to be more time consuming that I wanted, so I started cutting it into pieces about 6 foot long and that worked out perfectly. I covered about 200 feet in no time and it looked professionally done. I added some tie wraps at the joints I created, but it is not noticeable from the ground.

The tie-downs that come with the screening worked well. The included gloves were very helpful. Great, low cost way to keep gutters clean.

This is very light expanded metal (aluminum) and is easy to bend and mold. Wear gloves though. There are very sharp edges.
