Bought as a Christmas gift....is a huge hit! More active than most game systems...lots of physical activity involved, main reason for the purchase. Kids here love it.. 6- 10 year olds

As a special education teacher, I place a high value on tools that reduce friction—less setup, less clutter, and fewer opportunities for frustration. I also have an 8-year-old nephew who uses the Nex Playground system regularly, and this Nex Playground Active Play System Travel Case has proven to be a thoughtful and functional accessory for both home and travel use. Portability and Build Quality The case is lightweight without feeling flimsy, which is essential when a child is helping carry it. The material provides adequate protection for indoor transport and short trips, and the zipper glides smoothly without catching—an underrated feature when kids are involved. It fits easily into a backpack or carry-on, making it realistic to bring along for family visits or school breaks. Organization and Ease of Use From an executive-function standpoint, the internal layout is a strong point. Each component has a clear “home,” which supports independence and reduces adult prompting. My nephew can independently pack and unpack the system with minimal reminders, reinforcing responsibility and routine—skills I actively teach in my classroom. The structured storage also minimizes lost pieces, which is critical for maintaining consistent use. Sensory and Behavioral Considerations The case opens flat and closes securely, avoiding the sensory irritation of loud Velcro or stiff snaps. This matters for children who are sensitive to noise or tactile resistance. The predictability of the layout helps reduce transition stress when moving from play to storage, a common challenge for many learners. Real-World Value For families or educators using the Nex Playground system in multiple locations, this case is not just a convenience—it’s a support tool. It protects the investment, promotes organization, and empowers children to take ownership of their materials. Bottom Line This travel case does exactly what it should: it’s lightweight, durable enough for everyday use, and intentionally designed for easy organization. From both a professional and personal perspective, it supports independence, reduces setup time, and makes active play more accessible wherever you go.

Purchased as Christmas gifts for 2 sets of grandkids. Ages range from 5 to 11. All say it's really fun! I think getting the 12 mo subscription was a plus as most games they're playing weren't part of basic playground.
