I picked up this GSKAIWEN 180 LED light kit to improve my photos and videos at home and it has made a big difference. The lights are bright enough to light a small room or shooting area and the adjustable brightness makes it easy to dial things in so the scene is not blown out. For product photos, streaming, or basic YouTube style videos, the light output is more than enough. The stands are lightweight but stable as long as you are on a flat surface and not extending them to the absolute max height. They go up and down easily and pack away quickly when I am done. I like that the lights themselves are slim and do not take up much space around my desk or table. If I had to nitpick, the build quality feels more like a budget kit than professional studio gear, but for the price it does exactly what I need. If you are looking for an affordable way to step up from overhead room lighting and get more consistent results, this kit is a very solid choice.

I can't gush enough about how good these lights are. I recently starting making digital content and admittedly don't know much about lighting which I think speaks to how good these are, especially for beginners. I'm still learning and these are as user-friendly as possible with great results. I've spent money on a few other ring lights. One was just poor quality and fell apart, and while the other worked ok, I'm not experienced enough to figure out how to get the ring from not reflecting in the video. Plus, the ring lights only light up so much space. With these? You can use one or both. They're lightweight, super easy to set up and adjust. Super user-friendly and effective. Plus, they're in the same price-range as the other lights I've purchased, so they're very affordable. I don't have the type of glare/reflection issues I had before and these give you way more versatility in setting things up and to me that's where the huge value comes in. The fact they're adjustable not just in a wide range of height, they lights themselves are adjustable in how you want to angle them, so if you can use just one of them the way you'd use a ring light.

I purchased the GSKAIWEN 180 LED Light Photography Studio LED Lighting Kit because I needed better light for a copy stand. These lights do exactly what I want - provide even lighting across the entire space. I REALLY like that the light strips themselves are 15" long. I'm not dealing with a point source creating sharp shadows, but a gentle "shadow-less" light. The lights start 2.5" out from the tripod. I would prefer we could extend them 4-6" more so that they could read across the counter top more effectively. I can adjust the intensity using rotary knobs - though I would prefer a digital display so I can exactly match output between lights. The color temperature is daylight (around 5600° K) and even. The tripods are not designed for rugged use, but work perfectly fine for holding and adjusting the lights. I would be reluctant to recommend this for setups where you are constantly setting up and tearing down the gear. These are excellent copy stand lights. For a photo studio they would be useful for portrait work, but insufficient to light a full body. For video, the tripods are too short to be useful as backlights. Given that, I recommend them.

These lights are great, inexpensive, and best of all for me they have a mechanical switch! Unlike some lights with soft/electronic controls, I can set the brightness with a physical knob, turn them on with the switch, set the brightness with the mechanical knob, then turn them on and off from a distance with an outlet strip. Since the brightness control is a mechanical knob, they come on at the same brightness. I used these in my latest video production. There is no way to adjust the color but I find the color temperature good for video and photography. When not used for video I use one on a mechanical timer to wake up a brooder stack of baby peacocks in the morning! The tripod is very cheap and not sturdy but that hasn't been a problem.

Very expensive item for Canadians to purchase!! I know there are cheaper lights out there but I bought it on the recommendations of my friends who use it and love it after trying many other lights. I love that the light stands up straight, can be dimmed, can be repositioned and gives off no heat.

I used it 3 times and it went Dim as picture shows. It seems adopter's problem. This wasn't great light, but now it's worse.. Not as good as price over $100.
