Expensive but great
Hue lighting is definitely not cheap, but they are really good quality lights and make a huge difference to gardens and ponds. If you want automated colour changes rather than just a coloured bulb these are brilliant. Can even be used with scenes or to react with music, albeit with a very slight delay.

Another fantastic Hue product
This is a great addition to any hue set up, it is amazing how much these little lights transform the back garden and it looks so magical just with the three units. It is really easy to set up and install - just need to ensure you have a power source and you are good to go. You only need one power outlet as these connect together in a chain on the one power source. I found them to be really bright and not sure on some of the other reviews...they add accent lighting and do this really well, when on the full bright white they do throw off a lot of light and much more than i was expecting based upon some of the reviews. Another review notes that you can not control this from outside the home which is incorrect - as with all the hue products, if you have you hub enabled for out of home control you can control these lights when away from you wifi network - i can confirm that this works and works the same way as all other Hue lighting. Another quick tip, you can connect a maximum of 5 of these light units into the one power source...any more than this and you need to get a new base set with the power supply. This was confirmed to me by Hue and in the instructions - it is to do with the low power and the long cables used. The set contains everything you need to get started with a 5m cable per light and the power source too - word of warning, once you get these you will want more! They are great and transform the outdoor space!

Not cheap, but great quality
As per all Hue stuff, this light wasn’t cheap, but very nicely made, and comes with everything needed to use it (it is an extension to an existing Hue outdoor light system, so does t come with the power supply). Dead simple to install (big spike at the bottom which holds it firmly in place in the flower bed) and to add to the Hue system. Looks great lit and unlit, and easy to configure in the app.

Excellent spotlights
Worth the money, the hue lights are a different league. Quite a bit pricey but really worth it. Ease of installation too.

Better than the XL version
We’ve had a set of the larger Lily XL lights for over a year now but when I spotted the smaller version at almost half RRP on Amazon recently, I treated myself to a set. I have to say that they are more discrete and sleek than the XL version and though not as bright, are still plenty bright enough. I would probably choose these over the XL as the extra output isn’t worth the bulk in my opinion. We have a whole house and garden full of hue kit and on the whole we are very happy with it. Yes it’s pricey, but you are paying for the build quality and reliability…it all just works seamlessly.

Costly, but worth the money.
I've relied on solar lights for my garden for years. They're great in summer, but worthless in winter when you really want that dark space lighting up. I'd started investing in Hue Smart Lights in the house, so the move to installing them outdoors was a natural progression. We took a deep breath and spent a decent lump of money on 6 spotlights bought as two seperate base units (see later) and two extension pedestals, . They were dead easy to instal. We followed the advice of others and set them up on the Hue app simply by plugging them all together indoors (and thus making sure they all worked). We created 2 seperate "zones" to put them in (ie 3 spots and 1 pedestal in each). Then, we just disconnnected them and reconnected them outside. Now spread around the garden, they look fabulous at night and the option to create different colours on a "per bulb" basis is just a lovely addition. Cabling is simple to connect from our outdoor electric sockets. It now needs us to just move them around, over time, to highlight the different parts of our garden that we want to. We also bought an additional 5 meter extension cable, but this is unecessary. The spotlights come with 3 x 5metre lengths, so you have plenty of cable to work with. And, there is enough cable from the plug to the first light to ensure there is no need to buy extra cable. Note that these lights do need a Hue Bridge (connected via eternet cable to the wifi router) to make them work. Note also that you must purchase at least one "base" unit as that includes the plug and transformer. In the case of our purchase, the two pedestals were classed as "extensions" and, again, come with plenty of cabling but, as extensions, do not include the plug and transformer. I really like the fact that, once you've made the commitment, it is extremely easy to add lights to the maximum allowed "per cable from the plug" by Hue. That is 5 lights or 35 metres of cable. So, we're nearly at the maximum unless we add more base units, but as it stands right now, I doubt we'll need to worry. The lighting is bright enough to create good effects, although once you move into colours rather than white, the power of the light is definitely less. But, that is, I think, a good thing as surely use of colours is more for effect than you may use white light for? I'm very happy to give these a 5 star rating. It's unfair, as some have done, to mark them down because they're expensive (which they undoubtedly are). As with everything, you get what you pay for and if these bulbs last for the expected 6 or 7 years, then I think the annual cost is quite acceptable.

build quality feels strong and durable
I'm really impressed with the Philips Hue Lily spotlights. The build quality feels strong and durable, and they look very sleek in the garden. Installation was easy with the included stakes and mounts — I had them set up and connected to my Hue Bridge in no time. The lighting itself is beautiful: bright enough to highlight trees and garden features, with smooth colour changes and a wide choice of scenes in the Hue app. The lights are weatherproof too, and they've handled the rain and wind in Scotland without any issues. One thing to note is that you do need a Hue Bridge to get the full smart control, but if you already have Hue products at home, it fits in perfectly. Overall, a fantastic outdoor lighting solution that really elevates the look of my garden — highly recommend!

Adds oustanding colour to the garden
