This camera has already caught a trespass in our garden. It's easy to set up. Easy to use. The app allows for access no matter where you are. All in all a fantastic system. I have it set to PIR Activated recording and in that mode to included solar panel is more than enough to keep it running. It's on 24/7 and the battery is actually gaining power. Can not recommend this camera any more highly.

Really easy to set up & operate great quality

Easy to set up. Excellent features using the app. It's a shame the solar panel is not beefy enough to power the camera for the claimed hours that Reolink state. I can see myself having to remove and recharge the camera from the mains quite often in the bleak British winters.

I have bought 8 various Reolink cameras in the last 5 years for installation in different locations. Overall I am reasonably happy with them. 1 failed due to water ingress from rain. This one has issues as outlined below. (1)The 6 watt solar panel is not large enough for most of Northern Europe even in summer. (2) There is a 12w version (known as Solar panel 3) of the solar panel available but this is NOT available in the pack. It costs an extra £47.49 which I am not willing to pay as this should have been in the standard pack for UK and most of Europe. (3)There is a serious issue with the FIRMWARE when the PIR motion sensor is turned off and the camera stops recording in ALL modes. (4)When the auto tracking is turned off to save battery power all recording stops. (5 )Auto tracking got stuck in the left position. Overall not recomended till issues are fixed. I have to return this model as I am not pleased.

Excellent camera captures a good amount of footage and records any movement and can monitor on my fone. Makes me feel safer living on my own can see who at my door before having to open door and put myself at risk. Allows me to speak to people outside and has a light I can put on and an alarm to sound to scare of potential intruders.

A good price for a camera that can record in full colour at night. May have to see how well the solar panel charges it during winter.

The camera is really good all around (but does have some software limitations), however, the solar panel is way too weak to charge it (it's been stuck at 50% for a week or two now), even though it gets a lot of sun throughout the day. Firstly, if anyone is having an issue getting it to read their micro SD cards (especially if it's over 32GB), you need to ensure it's formatted as FAT32. This is a problem, as Windows won't let you use the FAT32 format if it's over 32GB - you will need to download an app called "FAT32 Format". Regarding the limitations, as my camera covers a small section of my neighbour's garden, I set his garden as "do not detect motion in this area." This prevents it from starting a recording due to motion in the area, however, the camera detected him walking from his car into his garden and turned and tracked him inside the "do not detect" area. He saw it following him and freaked out about it—turns out the software doesn't take this into account when tracking. It turns out that even if you set a privacy mask, it doesn't keep track of where it should be when moving the camera, so the place you have blocked off ends up being uncovered. I have ended up having to permanently disable the tracking. Lastly, I can't figure out how the "permanent recording" is meant to work, as even though I've enabled it, it only records motion-activated events - for clarity, I have a 512GB SD card in it, as well as having it connected to the Reolink Home Hub.

Really clear video, love the subject tracking feature - this surely must be a good burglar deterrent if they can see the camera following them around. Haven’t seen any evidence of battery charge issues, the solar panel is keeping the camera charged to 100% in February on a north facing aspect. Really happy with it so far.

This camera is excellent. What I like most is the ability to use all the features directly from my PC I can view the camera, control it, and access the same functions available on the Android app. It also works seamlessly on the iPad with full feature support. The picture quality is outstanding, and the tracking and recording functions are smooth and reliable. I’ve tested many outdoor security cameras, and this one is by far the best. Highly recommended!.

Zum Akku: Endlich eine Kamera, deren Akku nicht gleich schwächelt. Bislang hatte ich die Reolink Argus 3 Pro im Einsatz, die ich jetzt an einem anderen Ort einsetze. Die Argus 3 Pro hatte allerdings in den kalten Monaten immer Probleme mit dem Akku, den auch ein 6 Watt Panel nicht ausreichend laden konnte. Völlig anders die Atlas PT Ultra. Diese hängt auch am mitgelieferten 6-Watt-Panel mit Süd-West-Ausrichtung. Vor Montage wurde die Kamera zunächst auf 100% geladen und ist nun seit einigen Tagen in Betrieb. Die Bewegungserkennung wurde auf sehr sensibel gestellt. Es wird also viel aufgezeichnet. Der Akku ist ununterbrochen bei 100% Da ich in den nächsten Tagen verreise, sehe ich von der Voraufzeichnung erst einmal ab. Ich möchte diesbezüglich kein Risiko eingehen. Nach meiner Rückkehr werde ich dieses Feature testen und das Ergebnis meiner Beurteilung anfügen. Zur Installation: Völlig problemlos war die Einrichtung der Kamera. Ich habe eine 256 GB SanDisk Extreme Pro eingebaut und die Kamera in der App angemeldet. Absolut Easy! Weitere Sicherheits-Konfiguration: Zusätzlich habe ich die Aufzeichnung auf meinen Server via FTP konfiguriert. Sollte also irgendjemand glauben, durch Diebstahl oder Zerstörung der Kamera die Aufzeichnungen zu vernichten, wird das nicht gelingen. Zur Bildqualität: Die Bildqualität ist beeindruckend. Gestochen scharfe Bilder. Extrem lichtstarkes Objektiv. Selbst nachts erfolgt die Aufzeichnung IN FARBE ohne die LEDs einzuschalten. Sensationell. PT-Funktion: Die Kamera bewegt sich schnell und verfolgt erkannte Objekte zuverlässig. Ich habe mehrere Punkte konfiguriert, die die Kamera sehr schnell anfährt. So ist mir ein schneller Überblick auch ohne Bewegungserkennung möglich. Sehr gut gelöst von Reolink. Was geht besser: Optimal wäre die Kamera, wenn es eine PTZ wäre und erkannte Objekte auch gezoomt werden könnten oder automatisch gezoomt würden. . Wunschkonzert: Das mitgelieferte Panel mit 6 Watt ist bei Konfiguration der Voraufzeichnung höchstwahrscheinlich unterdimensioniert, wenn es nicht in direkter Südlage ausgerichtet werden kann. Hier sollte Reolink bei Bestellung die Möglichkeit für ein Upgrade einräumen, um gegen einen akzeptablen Mehrpreis ein 12-Watt-Panel zu erhalten. Gerade bei der stromfressenden Vorabaufzeichnung ist das eigentlich das Minimum. Ansonsten wird die Werbeaussage nicht eintreffen. Dazu aber später mehr.

I wanted to upgrade my home’s outdoor security without the hassle of running wires, and this 4K solar-powered wireless camera system turned out to be exactly what I needed. I was able to mount and set up the entire system in less than an hour, and everything has been running smoothly ever since. Easy Installation and Reliable Solar Charging Installation was a breeze. The mounting hardware was straightforward, and the app setup was quick and intuitive. Honestly, after seeing how easy it was, I kept wondering why I didn't buy these cameras sooner! The user manual recommends making sure the cameras are installed in a location with plenty of direct sunlight to keep the solar panels charging the built-in batteries. In my case, however, I could only mount them in areas with indirect sunlight. To my surprise, they have still been charging effectively even without direct sun exposure, which has been a huge relief. Performance and App Functionality The motion tracking feature can be a bit spotty, but it seems to have improved with recent firmware updates. I bought this set to replace an older generation camera system, and so far, after about three months of regular use, I have had no major issues. Motion Detection: Tracking works reasonably well, even on non-human movement like golf carts, squirrels, and porcupines, though it's not perfect every time. Picture Quality: The 4K image quality is very impressive, providing sharp, detailed footage. Video Transfer: Video transmission to the base station is fast and stable, and I appreciate that I don't have to pay for cloud storage unless I want to—local recording is included. Notifications: Notification alerts are reliable and even display images directly on my Apple Watch, which is incredibly convenient. The only improvement I would like to see is notification badges on the app icon, so I can easily tell which alerts are new and which ones I’ve already viewed. Experience Summary Overall, this 4K solar wireless camera set has been a fantastic investment. It is easy to install, performs reliably, and provides excellent video quality for a very reasonable price. If you’re looking for a wire-free, solar-powered security solution that avoids costly cloud fees and works well even in indirect sunlight.

Excellent quality product. Good build quality and features. The best is that it can prerecord events before being triggered. Yes, this uses more power but is worth it. It is shipped with the 6w solar panel which struggled to keep the camera charged at 100%. After 2 weeks I decided to upgrade the panel to the new 12w version. The new 12w panel has no trouble keeping the camera charged even in lower light conditions. I hope they decide to add the 12w solar panel with the cameras sometime in the future.
