Promaster Dive Eco-Drive Watch, 3-Hand Date, ISO Certified, Luminous Hands and Markers, Rotating Bezel, Black/Gold Tone

Ordered 15 Jan 2025 to replace 25+ year old Traser military dive watch. Waited until on sale and pulled the trigger. Keeps outstanding time (+/- 2 sec per month), well made, good rubber dive band (replaced with NATO nylon OD band for security purposes). Gold(rose) color goes well with OD. Luminous hands and markers off-blue at night, doesn't last as long as tritium but okay...no longer in the military/retired LEO. Eco-Drive big benefit over quartz battery, Japan movement not Swiss as with Traser but keeps excellent time (six month review). Great value, attractive, excellent purchase.

My father had citizens I’ve always had citizen watches and I’ve always been great no problems. I love this one. This is a great design. You’ll enjoy it and it’s a great price. It’s not out of this world price. It’s reasonable for the quality. Enjoy.

I haven’t rated the water resistance because I haven’t tried that yet, but I trust Citizen, I own several and never had an issue with them… onto the watch, I fell in love from the first time…. Beautiful watch and not heavy considering it has a 200m water resistance rating, easy to adjust and accurate, and the illumination is one of the best and strongest I have seen before…. My only complaint is the band, it is a bit rugged and harsh, but it’s an easy fix for me, I will just get a soft silicone band and I’m good to go. (Update): First, I actually got to try it in water, works as advertised 😊😊 Second, it was extremely hard to find a band that’s both comfortable and functional as well as color matching to this watch, it’s a mat gold so not easy to find something to match it. I finally was able to find this band which is a thick silicone material and advertised as waterproof so supposedly function similarly to the original one, the only issue was that the buckle was a standard silver color, so I just with the original buckle for a perfect match 😊😁.

100% satisfied with the Promaster series. The watch strap fits all wrist sizes and can slightly expand. A true bargain at $250.00. I got mine on sale for $179.00. I own 5 variations including the automatic. You won't be disappointed; the subtle gold tone is very classy. Very lightweight and can be worn 24-7 without any discomfort. Very accurate and looks far more expensive than it actually is!!!

Beautiful watch coming in a rad watch case looking like a scuba tank! People complain about the watch band being uncomfortable. I do agree initially , however if you force wearing it for a few days it DOES get better. But I still may end up in the long run switching the band out. If you can get it on a good sale I would recommend it , keeping in mind that you may need the discount for the band you really want :-)

I can't believe it took me so long to review this watch, I bought it over a year ago. I most likely didn't because I wrote a review for the first Citizen Promaster Dive Eco-Drive Watch I bought--this is my second; the first one is silver-toned, this one is gold-toned. I have a collection of eco-driven watches, including a few solar-powered watches made by another company, however, they aren't as reliable as my Citizen watches. All are a great value, especially considering these Eco-Drive watches don't require the need to purchase a battery every year or few years.

Stylish and cool looking. This watch looks like it costs more than the actual price. I’m fussy and have a collection of about 50 watches and this one is in the top 10!!

I like the time piece, it keeps good time and looks nice. Setting the date using the manual instructions was an exercise in frustration, silly me thinking it would function like my other Citizen Eco-drive. The watch band was not designed for comfort on my wrist, even after wearing the watch every day for over a month. I will replace the band when I can find a suitable band. Update 2/5/2025- I ordered a watch band going by the size description Citizen published for the watch, 23 mm. I suspected it was misleading and when I placed the new watch band end to install it, it was too large. I got out my digital calipers and measured the lug width, 20 mm.

Great watch. This model (black and gold) is a stunner.

This is a more unique looking version of the otherwise ubiquitous Citizen Promaster solar dive watch family (Eco-Drive). Some people would actually like that it's really light, but I like heavy watches, so to me - this watch, while really beautiful, does feel a bit cheap in terms of heft - and I'm comparing it to the flawless Citizen Promaster diver automatic - which not only also looks gorgeous, but feels premium in its heft and quality. So if you're ok with these minor issues (just it's weight, or lack of it...) - this is a great watch, with crazy reliable solar movement, and a look that doesn't make you feel like a million other people wearing a Citizen Promaster diver on your wrist.
