Pretty sweet light
Bought this because I wanted a blue edc light to match my knife. I took the outer “fidget” shell off because it’s kinda pointless. The light itself is easy to use, looks great, has solid build quality and is the perfect edc size. Gets very bright if needed, is rechargeable or can take a AA battery. One of the best small lights for the price imo.

Great light
Great edc light I would say for me anyway it’s jst about the perfect size edc light I would not wanna go any bigger but it’s right in that sweet spot yea there is smaller lights w similar/ better specs but ace beam did a good job w these rider series of lights you push the tail switch and it comes on nothing to much or to fancy and it has 4 diff brightness setting that you jst keep clicking and they jst keep switching sometimes things jst need to be simple. And they did it good w this one and it comes w a rechargeable 14500 920mah 3.7v battery and what that basically is is a souped up aa battery that uses a usb-c to charge it up witch is great because it gives you better performance than a reg aa. But you could still use a aa if you wanted or needed to. Enough said great 🔦.

Lots to like, quality build...
I just got this unique flashlight yesterday and have some comments, both positive and neutral (hhhmmm!) about it. First of all, this is a very nicely made light, I like the steel casing around the central aluminum body. and the overall high quality of construction. The steel body serves as a good heat sink, especially at the highest setting. In this way, the light can be used for much longer than some similar lights, (which can get hot enough to burn clothing), if accidentally placed in a pocket. Another good feature is that the switch can be positioned so as to extend the light providing a protective cover over the switch. Doing this makes it much less likely that the light can be accidentally activated. When the light is "On" in any of the 4 lighting steps, the steel barrel of the light can be extended 3/8", allowing the light to be placed pointing up for 'room lighting' i.e. in 'tail stand' mode. This is also the way that the bulb assembly can be unscrewed to allow the battery to slide out for recharging. The instructions do not make clear that recharging this light requires the battery to be removed at which time the USB-"C" connector is revealed on the side of the battery...this is where the charging cord is attached. This is unconventional, but it is one of the ways that the light can be made water resistant...(IPX8). I'm not sure if a replacement battery is available from the company. (EDIT..a search of Google found a listing for this battery. Look for " 920mAh USB-C" and you should find a replacement for about $13.00) I'm sure it would be a LONG time before anyone would reach "End Of Life" with the included battery. The 4 steps of lighting brightness cover a wide range, the low end being just enough to find one's way around a darkened room or tent. The brightest setting is extremely bright with a fully spread beam, able to light up a large room...or temporarily blind an unsuspecting user ...ask me how I know..!! It also has the 'standard' SOS setting....wonder how many times this common feature has been activated in a real-life situation...? The steps of brightness also have 'memory mode' allowing the user to return to the last used setting with a single click....simple and quick. The dual sided clip is well made and works great...a good range of sizing and easy to clip/unclip..nice! Now...the room for improvement part... First of all, the User Guide shipped with the light..IF it can even be called that, is close to useless. In large part because the print is so tiny..I'm thinking it must be just 1 'point' in size....impossible to read without some visual aid. This "Manual" that is included is on a tiny piece of paper that measures 4" X 3"..and that is then folded in half..! I've had to use a very strong desk lamp and a strong magnifier in order to see the writing. For the premium price of this light, I'd think they could afford something that could be read by a person with 20-20 vision...! But...I'm wrong..! Due to the steel casing around the aluminum core of the light itself, this light is noticeably heavier than other similar lights, so if your goal is weight savings, this might not suit those needs. In the advertising for this light, much is made of the "fidget" feature...and that 'ability' is part of the lock/unlock portion of the light. It's hard for me to imagine that anyone can get any 'mental relief' out of activating the lock/unlock over and over...unless your goal is to drive nearby people to distraction...! However, this option is there for your amazement/amusement....click away...! Finally, this is a very nicely manufactured light, with some unique features. Is it worth the premium price? Depends on your needs, there are less expensive lights that can equal the light output, I don't think there are many that equal the build quality of this light. "You pays your money and you takes your choice!

Nice Light
Love this light. Doesn't tend to turn on clipped in my pocket like most of the lights I have tried. Very bright and clear.

Cool light!
The light ticks the boxes of what I need out of my next flashlight. Good size, good brightness, great battery compatability (AA or lithium equivalent), easy rechargeable battery, double sided clip for hats, and great price. Also adding to the cool factor is the fidget "bolt action" feature which is how you access the battery and allows the light to stand on a flat surface by itself.

Love the moonlight mode feature and the forward click-tailcap
I generally tend to prefer the forward-click-tailcap when given the option. So I was happy with the features of this flashlight, in regards to the tailcap being a forward click as opposed to a reverse click. The solid and somewhat heavy feel of the Stainless Steel body of the flashlight, I like very much, once again a preference of mine, over the aluminum, when given the option/choice in general. The moonlight mode, is a feature I deliberately look for when purchasing a flashlight, but as a preference I do prefer flashlights which have "No Mode Memory" && "Start in Moonlight every time". But I do see, the benefits at the same time for "Mode Memory" (a feature of this flashlight). Either way I was happy enough, that I went and brought several at the reduced price of $29.99 in stainless steel. No competition at this reduced price, in all aspects of appearance, quality, features, and performance, for which this flashlight has to offer.

I already had a matt black version that I hadn't been using much but when I went to buy another Olight i3t I first went through some of my other lights to see if they would be better and my Rider came out top for a small light. I also have the Pokelit but the moonlight mode on that is terrible and there is no low mode at all! With the Rider the moonlight mode is useably brighter than the useless Pokelit moonlight and the Rider low mode is equally helpful to have whereas there is NONE with the Pokelit so I can only assume they made the Pokelit worse to keep the Rider the more expensive of the two. I now have this Blue model in the Rider (bought 2 while on offer) and I must say the finish looks very impressive so maybe my first foray for me into slightly higher end finish lights. So I just gave it 5 stars as nothing much to complain about. My black Rider got hot in the beginning but I think it has settled down now and isn't a problem so perhaps there is a little burn in at the beginning. I also have a Sofirn SP10, i5R's and plus model. Trustfire l2, Nicron B74, Tool AA's all in 14500 but I think this Rider is the most all-round useful as it takes a standard AA nicely and 4 nice evenly spread power levels and the neutral white 219F is a good led. Glad I have 3 now and a little less glad that I also have 3 Pokelit which has a similar mid and high level output to the rider but if you need good lower modes and better operation with a standard or nimh AA then the Rider I would say is the one to go for plus there are some lovely finishes like this blue version which looks like glossy blue enamel on the stainless steel outer body. Probably some kind of enamel paint so a very flash flashlight which should have been the title of this review really.

This review evaluates the “Rider RX 700 Lumens Rechargeable EDC Pocket LED Flashlight” made by CEBEAM. The product was shipped with no excessive or wasteful packaging and all components were contained snugly in the box. What’s in the box: one (1) 700-lumen USB-C rechargeable LED tactical flashlight, one (1) 920mAh lithium-ion USB-C rechargeable battery, one (1) USB-C to USB-A charging cord, two (2) spare rubber O-rings, one (1) wrist lanyard, and an owner’s manual. First impressions: This flashlight hits way above its class in an extremely compact form factor. First of all the flashlight disappears in a pair of large hands being 5/8” in diameter by 4” in length (product literature in the ad is incorrect at 1.02” x 3.78”) – it is extremely small yet fits comfortably in your hand. The housing comprises two parts: an inner machined thick AL-6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy body surrounded by a machined titanium outer shield. There is a very small gap between the outer shield and inner core which allows for heat dissipation and makes the unit comfortable to hold after extended operation. The unit is attractively coloured with the inner core being anodized blue and the outer shield being gray titanium. On the outer titanium shield, there is a stainless steel clip which is handy for holding the flashlight to your pocket or the brim of your baseball hat for hands-free work. The outer shield extends and retracts to protect the rubber end cap switch from being activated. This flashlight uses a rubberized waterproof push button function switch located on the end cap of the housing that navigates through four (4) lighting modes (H/M/L, Ultra-Low) using short-press and ON/OFF using a long press. The flashlight remembers the last light brightness setting used when turned on again. The business end of the flashlight contains one high-powered 519A-V1 LED 90+ High CRI 5,000K LED module. The flashlight has a fixed broad conical beam of light with an impressive effective reach of approximately 320 ft (101m). The flashlight uses a 3.7V 920mAh 14500 lithium-ion battery (AA size form factor) that is USB-C rechargeable by removing the battery from the housing and plugging the charging cable into a USB-C connector built into the battery. The battery has up to an hour of runtime on high power and takes about 45-60 minutes to fully charge. On the top of the battery is an LED indicator light, flashing RED for charging and solid green for fully charged status. This one really surprised me. I test a lot of flashlights and initially thought I bet this one is a flimsy over-marketed gimmick – nothing could be further from the truth! I first tested the flashlight outside on a dark rural Northern Ontario night and let me tell you – very bright doesn’t begin to describe the 700-lumen (claimed) output of light… It’s like staring at the sun (never stare at a high-output light like this you will permanently damage your eyesight!). This flashlight packs a mighty punch for its size producing a wide cone of light that illuminated the bush and surrounding area like it was broad daylight. However, many flashlights are overstating their lumen output to capture sales. This light is very bright and actually grossly understated its maximum output, which was closer to 8,328 lumens on the highest setting as measured by my LUX meter (at zero distance, the further away you go the LUX intensity drops). At about 10 feet away the lumen output is still higher than advertised. ProTip: You can also use this flashlight with a standard 1.5V, 2,850mAh “AA” alkaline battery in an emergency and still get about 1/3 of the light output. My LUX meter measured the light intensity as 3,052 lumens, impressive indeed. The only thing I did not like was the short/long press feature to switch modes; unlike a lot of other flashlights that use such a feature, I found this flashlight hard to cycle the modes. Regardless, I generally use my flashlights only on the highest setting. Also, I think the modes should include an “SOS” beacon instead of a LOW or ULTRA LOW since it generally is a tactical or emergency flashlight. The flashlight is rated IP68 rated which by international standards means that for whatever its purpose or intended market, it can resist exposure to dust and withstand up to 30 minutes of submersion in water up to 60 inches (or 1.5 meters) in depth. I did not water test this product because to do it effectively I would have to test it in an outdoor environment for no less than 8 -12 months but it looks like it will survive normal use outdoors. I am evaluating this product as part of the Amazon Vine program so I am limited to a 30-day window to submit a review. Only time will tell if this flashlight has similar longevity and effective service life as other competitive products on the market. Therefore, I am going to monitor this product over the next 8-12 months of use and revise my review should problems arise. Cost-effectiveness and value: Overall I am very impressed with the product; it is ultra-compact, extremely bright, and very well-made. At a current price of $72.99, I feel this flashlight is very competitively priced when compared to other similar high-end tactical products in this class. In summary: the “Rider RX 700 Lumens Rechargeable EDC Pocket LED Flashlight” made by CEBEAM is made of high-quality materials, is compact, and is very bright. Whatever you need to light up in front of you or at the end of the road – this flashlight has got you covered! I would recommend this product without reservation. Loved the look and features of the light. Its sleek and was the perfect gift for my sister. Has all of the nerdy flashlight features with a easy to carry and sleek case. If i had to pick one flashlight forever, it is missing a few features that I prefer like 2 way clip and right angle but its pretty high up there for me.

Ottima luce e colori.
