If you are seeking an anatomically correct model at an affordable price, this is it!

This skull is perfect for anatomy sketching and can live handsomely on a shelf for display when not in use. It has very good detail in the cast, decent individual tooth modeling (I’m not a dentist though lol), a nice clean white color that shows light and shadow well, a nearly invisible (at normal angles) spring in the mouth to attach the jaw and hidden magnets to keep the skull cap on. Seems solid...just a minor wish that the magnets were just a wee bit stronger in case someone picks it up not knowing the skull cap detaches...but I can’t ding the stars as stronger magnets might make removing the smooth cap tricky. I previously bought a skull model from another manufacturer and had to return it as it didn’t match the photo at all. The other one arrived with an ivory yellow color cast, had yucky old brass catches for the cap, ugly springs running from temples to outside the lower jaw and a cracked cap. Overall the other skull model looked ghastly and was of a lower quality. Additionally the shape of the other skull did not match the photos at all...so back it went. Very happy with this model though— especially after being let down by the other model; it even came with a short illustrated pamphlet naming the anatomical features.

This is a good skull model - appropriate/full scale, decent casting from the mold (minor flashing artifacts that can easily be removed/sanded), feels like it will be durable. (This is a replacement for one I got in the 80's but lost in the early 00's.) My original skull model had more separately cast bits (which required gluing together, but represented the nature of those bones a little better), but this model has a spring to retain the jaw (rather than a rubber band), and the silicone "cartilage" at the jaw hinges is nice. The old model had only 4 plastic pins to retain the top of the skull, (which broke off), whereas as the new model has 6 plastic pins and 2 magnets - much improved. It also features different stages for wisdom teeth (the left side has them fully in place, the right has a partially formed top one and no bottom). The finish on the new model is more bleached (the old model had a more ivory-like coloring), but I imagine it will mellow with time.

Very similar to the model my University has. Exactly what I was needing for at-home learning needs. It is super easy to disassemble and reassemble and even comes with a sheet of landmarks, which I was not expecting but adds to my learning. Would repurchase from Axis. Also really loved how much less this model is on here vs on the warehouse site.

I bought this to help me learn the bones and landmarks of the skull. It's a great deal for the price, the marking are easily defined, the jaw is movable and the top of the skull cones off to learn the interior portion. The only flaw I saw was that some of the foramen were not the correct size. It minor really because they were in the correct location. It was also easy to write on with color pencil and erase. Glad I bought it. I aced my bone practical!!

The skull model is just like described, I am very satisfied. In the photo I've taken the skull is on the right side, it's a male skull. On the left side there's a female skull.

Amazing! Life sized and exactly as pictured. Perfect for students in the medical or art fields if you're looking for anatomy of the skull, though the dental anatomy leaves a bit to be desired (for a graduated dental technician anyways, but it was a purchase for fun more than anything). The basics of dental anatomy are there, but you'll want something more in depth if you're needing to study the minute characteristics of teeth. It's pretty affordable compared to some of the other life-sized models out there, and the quality is not bad! The resin seems durable. It's fairly white compared to an actual human skull, so better suited for studying rather than for something like a halloween prop. All in all, very happy with my purchase!

85% accurate, I am an artist and I am picky on details, it is useful i for art students and to teach anatomy in art classes. A bit heavier then I expected, and the jaw spring is not too secure and if you do not handle it with attention the jaw will fall off. It is a good product for the money.
