I bought this kit to use with a miniature dollhouse kit, and boy am I glad I did!! The forceps/pliers are great, they are able to pick up and hold very tiny items. I also like that there's two of them, and that one is at a different angle. Sometimes you need to hold something in two places at the same time, and these worked great for that. The nips are very sharp, and make ease of cutting tiny things at a good angle, from wire, to cloth, to plastic. The exacto knife is very sharp, and I am glad to have spare blades to change them. (I only had to change my blade once so far, and I think that's because my son used it to cut something very hard with it.) My son also used this kit for his model car kit, and said it was very helpful for him as well. I like the plastic container it came in too-it helps keep everything organized and in one place, especially when you have a lot of items in your work area. It's also nice to store afterwards, and has some room in it to add other items to it (like pens, pencils, other tools, etc.) I'm so happy I bought this (thanks to others reviews). This made what could have been a very tedious and annoying process, enjoyable. I recommend this kit!

As described and very useful

This is an excellent starter tool kit for those getting into modeling. The tweezers are surprisingly good quality with excellent grip, and so far the pen knife has held up with hours of use. The files are exactly what you need to grind down plastic nubs from cutting or a rough spot that was left in the production process. You'll probably want to add a few more tools and a quality cutting mat in the future, but this will definitely get you started and the price is hard to beat.

I purchased this kit to work on miniature models, usually about 22mm in size. The tools included are of fairly good quality, and make my hobby much easier. The only complaint I have really is that it does not include any type of applicator/putty tool. Often there are deformations, mold lines, etc. on the models, and I use modeling putty to repair these problems. I had to purchase an applicator tool separate, which is no big deal. However, it could have easily been included as it is only a plastic stick with a point on one end and a small shovel on the other. That irrelevant complaint aside, this kit is about all you'll ever need and certainly worth every penny!

I was worried this would just be more cheap crap from China, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it's actually a decent little kit. The clippers work great to cut plastic parts from a spru. The knock off xacto knife basically gets the job done... But you can tell at the end of the day it's a knock off. Kit is for sure worth the money. Great buy.

A must have

Purchased this kit when I started my first model project.Tools do what they're suppose to do and come with a convenient case.I'd say they're worth the few bucks they cost. I'm sure there are better quality things out there but for a beginner like me just dipping my toe into models this was a good starter kit.

We bought this set of tools mainly for our first DIY Dollhouse Kit. The tools really help as the pieces of the kit are very small. The tools (tweezers, scalpel,...) are extremely handy and helpful to hold small piece, cut precisely enable to put the pieces together. Thumbs up.
