Both of my preschoolers enjoy having it read to them at bedtime, and I enjoy reading it which is always a bonus! Very simple story but very effectively told and my children love the illustrations. The part they enjoy most is the bit where Rosie "grows, and grows, and grows" and it shows her in stages going from a child to an adult, they really love that. Recommend to anyone with young children.

Brilliant book
This is a really lovely book. Both of my preschoolers enjoy having it read to them at bedtime, and I enjoy reading it which is always a bonus! Our little one loved it. It's a book that deals with loss and finding something again when you are older but it being different, which is ideal for our family story. Beautifully written and illustrated too.

Un libro muy tierno y sonoro (muchas onomatopeyas para describir acciones ,tap, tap, para el sonido de las manos de los niños haciendo castillos de arena) Los dibujos son agradables. Lo compramos en formato tapa blanda y en inglés por el precio de cuatro euros.. A nuestra hija le ha gustado la historia y además, una mujer protagonista BOMBERA, bien Julia Donaldson, gracias

This story is about the hat.. this girl looses her hat on a windy day at the beach and the story's illustrations are beautiful.. its the hats journey, of what all it is used for and by how many users and ends well..
