The brooch is beautiful and I loved it when I received it. I pinned it onto my cardigan and noticed that the pin itself, the circular piece that you slide to enclose the pin into place, wasn't really secure and didn't close tightly. At some point, while I was wearing the brooch, it must have become loose and (because of the weight of the pin), the brooch fell off and was lost. Not sure if it was just mine seeing that no one else seemed to have this problem. Not sure if I want to buy another one just because of the pin issue. But the brooch really is beautiful.

I purchased these for my daughter and husband to wear to a butterfly themed daddy daughter dance and the one my husband was wearing broke before they made it to the event - the pin closure piece came off from the weight of the butterfly, no excessive force or miss-use). I would not suggest purchasing.
