Ancient Celtic Coin Art

I ordered this for my husband who is a keen coin collector and he found it excellent. Sadly, within about a week he misplaced it (goodness knows where as it hadn’t left the house) but having searched high and low, I ordered another copy. I don’t know much about the subject but the fact that he wanted it replacing suggests to me it must be very good indeed!

An excellent introduction to the art-work and symbols on Celtic and Pritonic (ancient British) coins.

Interesting little book, tells you about all the different patterns and symbols on Celtic coins and their meanings from animals, serpents,spells,trees,even one eyed giant Cyclops and a lot more. Must be about 200 or more drawings of coins. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because you only see one side of the each coin ( starter ) that has been drawing and not both sides. So if you see the obverse side of the coin you will not see the reverse side. And so forth, if you see the reverse side of the coin side you will not see the obverse side. But some Celtic coins do be blank on one side and have only a pattern on one side of the coin anyway.
