Dr. Squatch All Natural Bar Soap for Men with Zero Grit, Bay Rum

This is my second Dr. Squatch purchase. These products are wonderful, the first bar I tried was the Citrus and Cedar which also is amazing. This is cold process soap which means there's some extra things you need to consider if you're going to use it. I saw a lot of reviews that said the bar doesn't last and even saw a video of someone spraying it with water. Scent: Spearmint Basil Not going to lie when you open the package it smells just like DIll Pickles and it's pretty strong. Once you shower with it though the smell becomes sweeter and is very pleasent. These soaps don't use perfume scents so, no, they don't cling to you all day or fill a room with a very chemical and artificial smell. They get you clean so you don't need to mask what it didn't remove. The scent washes off of you in the shower and leaves you with only a very faint scent that doesn't linger long. Moisturizing: I have very oily skin typically and products made for oily skin go way beyond oil reduction and leave your skin a dry husk. Dr. Squatch gets my skin clean and free of oily residue without leaving it dry and itchy. When you step out of the shower and dry off your skin feels soft and clean, you can feel air against your skin and it after a day or two of use, your skin looks a lot healthier. If you've ever used other moisturizing soaps you probably know they can leave an oily feeling film on your skin which I can't stand, other soaps for oily skin make your skin feel like it's pulling and covered in astringents as it dries and will commonly result in dry scaly skin. Dr. Squatch does neither. It leaves you feeling clean and soft and makes it feel like your skin can actually breathe. Longevity: As I said earlier this is a cold process soap which means it doesn't like to sit in the water flow or be wet all the time. The best way I've found to use it so far is to keep it out of the shower or higher up in the shower away from splashing water. The best way to apply it is to get your skin wet, use the bar to lather and then use a wash cloth or shower sponge, etc to scrub and exfoliate. If you leave this soap under running, hot water, it WILL melt rapidly. Other Uses: Since I'm keeping the soap near my shaving supplies to keep it out of the shower, I also tried using it for shaving and it turned out great. It actually outperforms anything I've used previously, delivers a smooth shave experience, and leaves my face feeling clean.

Got it as a small gift for my husband, he'd been asking for a bar for a while and wanted me to surprise him with a new scent. The Bay Rum scent was a pleasant surprise! It lasts quite a while as well. Great value and love the soap quality. Leaves his skin feeling very moisturized!

5 stars for clean feel, quality ingredients and decent out of box aroma. The scent does not last. Once done with the shower the scent is done too so great option for a clean ingredient product but if you want to smell like you have the scent stuck with ya may be too clean of a product.

I give Dr. Squatch bar soap collection a 3.5/5 stars. The soap works great; I love it. However, the length to which it lasts is horrendous. I got maybe 4-5 days of use out of it before it disappeared into thin air. The quality is great. I love their grit scales and overall aromas. The thickness is there and cleans well. I just can’t get past the price point for only lasting me 4-5 days and that’s with keeping it away from water when not in use and keeping it on a rack. I simply don’t know and I read others have the same issues.

It's soap, it cleans, it smells nice, other than the expensive price I would recommend it.

This soap is awsome in a few ways and just decent in others. To get started it makes your skin feel fresh and moisturized! I can say honestly that I prefer this over all the store bought chemical added soaps. I'd say the negatives would be that the scent dosent last on my skin at all. You smell it in the shower and the bar gives off a pleasant scent but once you wash it off the scent is gone within an hour or so. The other negative would be that the bar although big in the package dosent last very long. I received it on the 17th of December and ive used it three times now and it's already at half the size it was when I started using it. I see this lasting maybe a week with a single shower each day. For the price I'd expect it to last at least two weeks but I feel like the feeling of clean and moisture you get from it is hard to beat. it turns into a nice buttery scrub on your skin and leaves it feeling just right. Not to soft and not to hard. I bought the bay rum version and it is a good soap but if it had lasted longer or I was given two bars for the price I'd give it 5 stars. As stands I'll give it 3 stars for the awsome moisturizing properties, 2 for the longetivity and 2 for the scent since it dosent last on skin. Overall I'd rate it 3 and 1/2

Smells great, and lasts a while. Not a huge fan of bar soap, but this has changed my mind.

both of my teenagers love this soap. it's for men also. it is very high quality and does not turn mushy. it lasts a long time and has a lot of lather and scent. pricey but worth it in their opinion. strangely enough i'm the one paying for it haha

Great soap my husband uses it all the time he has very dry skin and it helps a lot yes it’s expensive but worth it

Not a bad deal to buy on Amazon. Works out to be about a buck more per bar compared to buying directly from Squatch. But definitely faster delivery. Kind of levels it out in my opinion. Soft soap and lathers fast and well doest leave the skin feeling dry and a very fresh scent. Recommended.
