Works for me
This has been great. I used it for cryotreating blades. I needed the larger opening to fit broader materials. This as worked perfectly for my needs.

Compact cryotank, good for cell culture stocks.
I needed a cryotank for my garage lab, and this one works well for LN2 stock storage. The lid is secure, although the styrofoam insert is a bit loose. The tank at least supports a lock for security and avoid accidental spillage. My only complaint is that the sample chambers don't have any lids of their own to prevent cryotubes from floating away. It would be better to have dedicated clips or slots for tubes. However, you can easily fix this with a makeshift mesh lid and wire to secure it in place. Overall, this tank works well and keeps in LN2 when not opened frequently, good for long term sample storage.

Awesome for the beginner
We've all been amazed by the chemistry of liquid nitrogen and it's awesome effects on anything you put in it. This cryo tank is capable of getting you started experimenting. With that said it doesn't come with any instructions and safety precaution fundamentals. So I'd say I do recommend this, furthermore, I recommend doing a substantial amount of note taking research about how to safely handle store and experiment with liquid nitrogen. One wrong move would be catastrophic.
