Batteries last for only about 150 gallons. Dont like how when the handle is hung up. The spout is pointing up allowing rain and dirt to accumulate inside the stop. Otherwise it functions well.

This transfer pump functions very well, mostly. The only thing lacking is the speed at which it pumps. It to just over 4 minutes to empty my 5 gallon jug of diesel fuel. The pump begins immediately when you turn it on. It is nearly silent as it pumps. I like that. The length of the hose to the nozzle could be longer. The speed is reminiscent of my old gravity feed type siphon, so not much gained there. The beauty of this pump is that there’s much control over the stopping and starting. I can drain the 5 gallon jug to a similar level with this tool as I did with the gravity siphon, although the pump end is a bit bulky and tricky to maneuver inside the tank. Overall, a good device, decently built. Recommendable if you don’t mind using batteries to do a similar job as with gravity.
