The Housemaid's Wedding: A Short Story Review: GREAT SHORT READ - The Housemaid’s Wedding was a great, short read and I’m glad it exists as a companion to the series. It was nice to return to these characters without committing to a full book, and the story itself was engaging and easy to get through. While this novella can be read after book three and still make sense, I really think it works best only between book two and book three. The timeline, character dynamics, and emotional beats fit much more naturally there. Reading it later does not ruin anything, but it does lessen the impact since you already know where things end up. Overall, it’s a solid addition to the series and worth reading. Just be mindful of the order if you want the best experience. Review: I really enjoyed this book - I really liked this book it was easy to read and short too. I think Freida really did a great job with this book I loved Enzo.

Unexpected But Undeniably Freida
This short and sweet story was interesting to say the least. It was fun diving back into this world and sort of getting a glimpse into the gap between Housemaid’s Secret and The Housemaid’s Watching. I’m being so real with you, and I’m a big fan of this series. If you were fine with ending your reading at the Housemaid’s secret and didn’t want to continue on. I’d say that that would be a fine stopping point. Even though I did really like The Housemaid’s Watching. I don’t really think this one is necessary. Unless you absolutely love Millie’s story and want to get every single moment with Millie and Enzo. This book is certainly for the hardcore fans of this series. I’m glad I read it and got to check off yet another book from McFadden! Getting closer and closer to finishing off her backlog. 🖤

Never Disappoints
This short story was just as amazing and kept my attention as the other Housemaid books. Freida McFadden has become one of my favorite authors and if you love books that capture your attention and you can’t put down, I suggest you read every book by this author and follow her!!!!

Short and Sweet
A short and sweet addition to the Housemaid series. There's an authors note that Freida didnt want us to feel cheated by not including this little wedding, and I'm glad she did. Millie is about to be married. Never one to usually fuss, her one request for the universe is for everything to go right, and to have a wonderful day with her husband to be. On the morning of her wedding, however, Millie receives a threatening phone call from an unknown number - not once, but several times. Will Millie's big day go off without a hitch? Or will Millie find the day holds more than she bargained for? Honestly, this a short, fast read with plenty of sweet moments, which is not something you can always say for Freida books. It was still engaging enough that I wanted to see it through, but not a true necessity for the series. This was just kind of a fun pit stop in Millie's world. If you're a fan of the Housemaid series, give this one a read!

While the premise is gripping, the short story format left me wanting more
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5 Stars (Good) Setting: New York City Genre: Short Story; Thriller The Housemaid’s Wedding offers a quick, suspenseful interlude in the twisted world of the Housemaid series. As always, Millie’s life is anything but simple—even on her wedding day. The tension builds from page one, with Freida McFadden’s signature blend of paranoia and plot twists that kept me turning pages. However, while. The pacing felt rushed, and the emotional weight of Millie’s relationship and the threat she faces didn’t have enough space to fully develop. Longtime fans of the series will enjoy revisiting Millie’s world and savoring the breadcrumbs of what’s to come in The Housemaid is Watching, but this story functions more as a bridge than a standalone thrill. If you’re a devoted follower of the Housemaid series, this quick read will scratch the itch between books. But if you’re looking for the deep twists and layered suspense McFadden is known for, you might find this installment a bit too fleeting. #thehousemaidswedding #booked_this_weekend

Forgettable Entry in an Otherwise Addictive Series
While it was nice to revisit these characters, The Housemaid’s Wedding ultimately felt more like a brief add-on than a fully realized story. At novella length, it reads quickly, but it also feels thin. I kept waiting for the kind of psychological punch or major reveal that defines this series, and it just never quite arrived.
