4-in-1 Four-Color Multifunctional Pen, Black/Red/Blue Ballpoint Pen and 0.7mm Mechanical Pencil, Metal Case Pen, Great Gift for Friends, Loved Ones (Gray)

This multifunction pen is very inexpensive and my expectations were quite low. I have been pleasantly surprised. The barrell is metal and painted with a quality laquer paint. The four functions (black, blue, red, and 0.7 lead) are fully spelled out and easily readable at the top of the barrel. The mechanism to extend the ballpoints or pencil works smoothly and easily. The ballpoint refills write well -- no skipping and bright bold colors. The pencil seemed a little "loose" at first, but I have gotten used to that and I no longer notice. I use this primarily when reading books to underline and annotate. If that is what you are looking for, I am certain you will be delighted.

I like the sleek design that does not take up much space (say, in the pencil case or bag) and the comfortability is great despite it being slightly weighted. You need to get used to the functionality, though. Some dexterity and learning curve required. Value for money is good because it comes with replacement pens and eraser bits!!! It’s fun to see how such an un-bulky pen has four different colors. Slightly heavy but not bothersome. The pen writing gets a bit slightly stiff, and the ball diameter is thicker than I thought, so it’s not a pen that allows me to fast-write.

I was torn between four and five stars for this item, but I'm happy with it overall. I rely on a paper calendar and paper shopping lists, which I carry in my purse. It makes a big difference for me to have different colors of ink available, plus erasable options (whether that's erasable pens or pencils -- I enjoy both). I keep lots of separate pens/pencils/etc. at my desk, but I wanted something compact for my purse, and preferably something that was also attractive and refillable, which is why I bought this. Pros: * Comfortable to hold and write with * Easy to use once you've read the instructions, and it gives the right color consistently * The ink is shockingly good quality -- bold colors, fine point, smooth writing, doesn't require heavy pressure, and the ink doesn't smear * Comes with refills * Beautiful color Cons: * The cap for the eraser is difficult to remove, even after taking it on and off several times * The eraser doesn't erase quite as cleanly and easily as I expected * VERY tricky to remove and reinsert the ink cartridges Given how difficult the eraser is to access, I probably won't use it as much as I've done historically, which takes a little of the sting out of the eraser not being as nice as I wanted, but that's not much of a silver lining since the availability of an eraser was a major factor for my purchase. I haven't used up the ink yet to require replacing any of the cartridges, but I tested that the same day that I got the pen, and I honestly thought I'd broken the pen. It took me half a dozen tries to get the ink reinstalled correctly, and it doesn't let you select the different colors if it's not installed correctly. Once I figured it out it was fine, but I spent 20 minutes worried I'd broken it before I got it right. I haven't decided whether I'll order refills for this pen when I need them, or try another similar option. It'll probably depend on how long the ink lasts (if it goes a long time on top of being so excellent then it's a great value even with the tricky eraser) and whether the eraser cap gets easier to use over time. If the eraser remains difficult to access over time or the ink dries out quickly, then I'll likely switch to something else.

Little pricey for what you get. Ink is not the best and always having to load lead into it because it breaks a lot, even when closing it up. For what you get you can buy a nice pen and pencil that works better.

Pleasantly nice pen/pencil, it writes smooth, did not come with instructions but i eventually figured out that the color you want must be facing up when you push the button. It writes smooth maybe a bit above average for a pen.

Was using one to write, and it's nice to have the options to change ink. Problem is if you are clumsy. I put mine down in bed and ended up rolling on it slightly later. The body where it screws together shifted. I figured it wasn't a big deal and popped it back into place. NOPE. Every time I try to use it now, the whole thing pops apart. It's pretty much useless at this point. Luckily I have a simliar one from years ago that I can use the ink in. Not really worth it for the price for something so fragile.

I have bought this pen three times now, and I truly like the functionality, the look and all the extras that it comes with however, the clip that is vital to operating the different colors breaks very easily. If this was made a little bit more stronger to last longer I would give this product five stars.
