Asics Men's MATCONTROL 3 Wrestling Shoes

Fantastic wrestling shoe. Great flexibility when conditioning on the mat and when wrestling. My son puts the work in when he’s practicing and these have held up fantastically. I couldn’t be more happy with them. They are so light too. He said it feels like you aren’t even wearing them. Fits very true to size as well.

ASICS are the pinnacle of wrestling shoes and it’s tough to find a bad one. The traction on them is top tier and it’s what I look for in a wrestling shoe. I’m used to getting my normal size in Aggressors/ any other ASICS shoes but in this case I needed some new mat shoes in a pinch and these were the fastest shipping ones so I figured I’d order these as it’s hard to go wrong w ASICS. But WOW…. Just wow - I was actually astonished with how far off their 9-1/2 was. It felt like a 7 on my feet. The shoe was absurdly narrow and there is no way it was a 9-1/2. I have a pretty normal shaped foot - maybe even bordering on slightly narrow given my high arches, so I was just bummed I had to return them. The good news was there was an asics outlet near by with the same make but different style and turns out the same issue was apparent there too. Out of sheer curiosity I asked the attendant for a size 11 to see how far off it’d be and to my surprise they fit… PERFECTLY. So moral of the story - order these a whole SIZE & A HALF UP!!! They gotta fix their sizing because it was ridiculous how far off they were. 4/5
