Beautiful halter, well made, durable, and strong. Only halters that I will ever buy. Love the lavender color on my paint roan sorrel mare. The average horse size fits both my 15.1 hand and 15.3 hand horses.

Great Weaver quality!

Weaver Leather has produced quality products for years and this halter is the same as they have always made them. I couldn’t find a non-adjustable halter at various fleet supply stores in my area and wanted a standard basic halter without all the extra buckles. Amazon had the best price so I ordered for my growing filly who is just days from reaching 4 months old. Estimated maturation is 15 H out of a 15.3 H Hanoverian cross mare that is built like a tank, and a 14.2 H QH stud. This gives you an idea of how big this filly is and how she has grown and outgrown her halters quickly. I ordered the diva pink weanling/pony size and I absolutely love the color of this halter! In my opinion, it looks good with her very light and pale buckskin color. She wears it on the tightest hole setting and it is just a tad too large, but the foal size halter she was wearing was getting too small and needed to get out of it. This one could probably could benefit from getting another hole or two punched in. I also ordered a diva pink in the yearling size as well for when she outgrows this size. Photos attached include different angles to see where it fits loose and size of her head and body. Overall pleased with Weaver products. I have purchased many of their items over the years and have not been disappointed.

Good halter. A little heavy but I don't keep on 24.7

This large size, red, break-away halter was purchased for our 16.2 hand, 1300 lb. Lusitano. His last one of the same brand needed replacing after 5 years of daily use (but it was still useable although "aged"). I had replaced the break-away strap once during the lifetime of the old halter. The new halter in the same brand and size is of slightly lesser quality than the older version, in two ways: !. The metal hardware of the new halter is lighter weight and feels/looks of lesser quality than the old halter; 2. The break-away leather strap is thinner by about 1/8" and feels flimsy. Although this halter is designed to be a break-away halter, and was specifically purchased for this reason, the leather break-away strap is already beginning to show wear at the buckles and across the poll of the head after one month daily use in normal activities. The halter is only applied during handling and not for turn out. The clasp at the throat latch is holding up ok. However I am disappointed at the deceased sturdiness (quality) of the break-away leather strap of the new halter. Like so many products and companies, Weaver has opted for lesser quality over profit margin. I recommend applying a leather conditioner prior to use and intermittently during the lifetime of the leather strap to help keep it supple and hydrated to avoid the cracking and potential breaking BEFORE it's expected lifetime. Trust me, if a 1300lb. Lusitano needed to escape a break-away halter, it could do so even with the original thickness of the leather head strap. The sizing is accurate, at least for our horse. In the picture, the nose band is in the tightest hole and the head strap is in the tightest hole. No new holes had to be created to fit our horse in the large size halter. The red color is vibrant and true as advertised.

Great quality halter with padding. My mare has a smaller head and the horse size fits her well.

I’m really happy with this purchase. The colours that this company has is what really caught my eye. I ordered the peachy colour and it’s perfect. I thought because it’s cheaper that the buckles might be like a hard plastic, but they are actually metal and the entire harness is very strong. I’ll be ordering some of the other colours because I’m very happy with the quality and the new colours that I don’t have access to where I live.

Le pongo 4 estrellas porque la medida AVERAGE no es para potros de 2 años (sugiero small), pero lo pude ajustar a que le quedara bien a mi potro. Ya habia comprado otro anteriormente por eso lo recomendo por Calidad y resistencia.

I ordered two headcollars from the states THROUGH Amazon as you cannot buy plain,non-adjustable head collars in the UK anymore plus I wanted brass fittings.... Headcollars arrived just 10 days later and they are PERFECT - strong, flexible, they look great and no annoying throat constriction or nose adjustments. Cannot thank you enough.......
