This product is already improving my daily grind, no more getting out to start vehicle to warm up on cold days! Just a couple of things that may help with the install, even though it was very easy just by watching the provided video! When you drop your knee panel on your dash, secure your hood release pull and cable! (My cable come loose from the pull and I spent more time putting that back than I did installing the Starter! Just put a piece of tape over the back until you are ready to put back in place.) Another tip, when disconnecting the factory wiring harness, there is a release mechanism built into the plastic harness that you push in to get the harness to release without breaking it. The one at the steering column was easy, but the one under the dash I had to work with a little bit more, it is on the long side, just push in before trying to pull apart. Again, the video was on point and if you will just play and pause to the next point, you will have installed in 20-25 minutes. I am not a car mechanic by any means, work behind a desk most of my life, and if I say it is easy, it is! Please note, your vehicle will shut off in about 10 minutes on it's own if you don't open the door before then, so if you are going to be longer than that, you may need to restart your vehicle if it times out. It also shuts off when you do open the door, but to me, that is ok, it's still better than getting into a cold vehicle in the winter and a hot one in the summer. Just make sure to turn your heat back on to high when shutting off for the day, so it will be warmer when you get in, then you can adjust back down. Enjoy! I'm very happy I purchased this. So much cheaper and than dealership AND, you use your factory fob, and no need for their second one!

I installed the Start-X remote start kit on my 2018 Tacoma, and I’m really happy with it. The install was quick and didn’t require any crazy wiring or cutting. Everything plugged right in, and it worked on the first try. The range is great — I can start the truck from inside the house, and it warms up or cools down before I head out. Super convenient, and way cheaper than getting a dealer-installed system. If you’re handy with basic tools, you can easily do it yourself.

This was wildly easy to install. Maybe 15 minutes tops. Just follow the video and its idiot proof. Only thing I dislike is the shut off when you open the door. I got this for the winter months to warm up the truck, but opening the door shuts it down, then I have to start it again...seems like the starter is being used more and eventually gonna fail sooner. Maybe?

Works well on 2019 Tacoma, and installs easy, but the best install instructions are on YouTube. Important 2 know: it will shut off when you open the door.

This was so easy to install! I did it in under 30 mins with two tools. The video instructions were GREAT! My boyfriend is so happy he can start his truck from inside the house!!

Says 10 minutes to install but it took me about 20 just because its not something I do every day so I wanted to make sure I took it slow. As soon as I got everything buttoned back up it worked exactly the way it supposed to. My wife is one happy camper. With it being below freezing this week she is definitely happy. Most of the time that I buy aftermarket accessories for vehicles it is a nightmare and more than I had bargained for. This product was the exact opposite, I installed this thing in 15 minutes at night with the very helpful video provided.

Excellent product! Exactly as described and video shows precise installation instructions. Installed in 30 minutes by someone with no automotive installation background. Product does turn off when the door opens as mentioned but i enjoy that feature as it gives a peace of mind that no one will be able to go in and take off.
