Everbuild General Purpose Silicone Sealant – Waterproof – Suitable for Interior and Exterior Use – Clear – 280ml

I used the clear Everbuild silicone sealant as part of my outdoor lighting project, shown in the photos. The first image shows the tube in use, and the second shows the finished seal around a wall light on a bumpy rendered surface. The sealant handled very well — smooth, steady flow and easy to control using the plunger gun you can see in the picture. It applied cleanly and bonded well to both the render and the light fitting. I made sure to work it into the small gaps underneath the fitting so it’s fully waterproof, and it’s sealed neatly all the way around. It dried quite quickly, with only a faint vinegar-type smell at first and no residue once cured. Overall, it’s very good value for what it is and appears perfectly suitable for exterior use. Time will tell, but I’m confident it’ll add that extra level of protection to keep the lights watertight. (Linked with my other reviews in this lighting series covering the fittings and LED bulbs.) Great quality product! It works as expected, is easy to use, and feels well made. Reliable, practical, and worth the purchase.

Great stuff. It cures quickly and is strong enough to use on almost anything that needs sealing. One thing i must say is that it's not white like in the pictures. It's clear so might not be suitable for some. Strong smell of vinegar off it for the first 24 hours or so, so allow some ventilation if that bothers you but it's harmless. Just bought a second cartridge of it because it's so cheap for such quality stuff.
