It is pretty quiet compared to my other filter, it’s almost silent. It’s been keeping my tank crystal clear. I wouldn’t use it for smaller than 10 gal. The flow knob has good control. It’s gentle enough to keep shrimp or guppies. I’ve had it for about two weeks and so far it’s been going strong It comes with just one filter cartridge And it clears my floating plant’s roots. Which are an eye sore and now they’re gone! Cleared my tank in about two days

Seems to be a solid filter and high powered for the price. Even at a lowest level the filter is pretty strong so I did end up installing a buffer for my small fish and shrimp but it works great and I’m always impressed with how much it cleans the water.

I have had my own aquarium business as well as worked as a Manager and Distruct Manager of several pet stores through the years, not to mention being in the hobby for 50yrs. I have seen and sold every HOB filter that was manufactured. This filter beats them all. I will say that I still use the AC bio sponges and bio media for the back of the filters to get more bio surface area. This filter is much more narrow than others, so the sponge just needs to be turned sideways and the ceramic media fits right on top of the sponge as well. The filter has to be filled with water before attaching the impeller mechanism or it won’t prime properly. Otherwise, it will be very noisy. These filters are quiet, and I like that there is a corse sponge to attach to the end of the tube. This is not only great for more bio surface, but especially useful for anyone raising fry, shrimp, snails, or nano fish. Excellent filters, will be purchasing these instead of whisper, AC, Penguin, or any other HOB filter that hasn’t made the cut.

As described and really does a good job and very easy to clean and also easy to change the filter and truly loves the fact that it tells you when the filter needs to be changed.

Do not get this. It sucks air really bad and sprays bubbles. I usually love hygger but this filter model is just horrible. Not only did it suck air into the intake, it was the most awful sounding filter I ever had. It also did a bad job of filtering my water so it was always cloudy. I finally got rid of this and replaced it with an aquean clear 50g. My tank now lives happily ever after.

It’s very loud. If I could pick a different product I would just due to the noise. After a water change you have to really watch it and make sure the water level doesn’t rise and overflow out of the filter on the floor. They do have a red light to signal that the water level is too high and a lid but water can still come out. Other than that the filter works well. Just make sure to keep an eye on it.

Probably the best hang on back nano filter I’ve owned. I would be confident saying it’s the quietest. Works super well with shrimp tanks because of the sponge filter on the bottom. The flow is not harsh either and is even better with the adjustable piece to slow it down.

Recibí el filtro el 11 de enero 2025, al día de hoy ya no funciona, resulta que se fue la luz por unos minutos y ahora ya no prende. Deje enfriar el motor varias horas y nada. Estaba muy contento porque funcionaba muy bien y mantenía cristalino mi pecera. Pero por un apagón no puedo creer que dejara de funcionar.
