You just plug it in (I use a battery bank, so it’s super convenient), fill the tank with water and your favorite brush cleanser, and press the button to start. The brushes swirl and get cleaned without you having to lift a finger.A couple of things to keep in mind though:1. Don’t overcrowd the tank – I made the mistake of putting too many brushes in once, and the lid popped off, causing a bit of a mess. The brushes also got stuck at the bottom, so I had to clean up the water spill. (A video here you may wanna see).2. Space for bigger brushes – The rubber lid fits most brushes, but the space can be tight when it’s time to dry them with the UV feature, so keep that in mind if you have larger brushes.3. Rinsing – I used the tank to rinse the brushes a few times and was surprised at how well it worked. Even though the instructions say to rinse manually, I found that the cleaner did a thorough job with a few rinses.4. Best for synthetic brushes – This works great on fiber brushes, but I did notice that some of my wool brushes got a little misshaped after using the cleaner. However, I don’t think that’s an issue with the machine itself – it’s just that natural hair brushes tend to be more delicate, and the swirling motion might be a bit too much for them.
