The First Berserker: Khazan - Play Station 5

GREAT GAME!!! If you love the souls genre such as Dark Souls 1/2/3, Elden Ring, Bloodborne, Nioh1/2, and so forth.... then you will absolutely love this game! The difficulty for the bosses is tough. Getting to the bosses can be a challenge, but the bosses are on another level. This games bosses are tougher than E.R., Dark souls 1/2/3, etc. The bosses are tougher than most other games bosses. But they are not impossible to beat. You just have to learn their patterns and moveset. Best game to come out since Elden Rings dlc expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree. Once again, if you are like me and love the souls genre then do yourself a huge favor and BUT THIS GAME! If and when you buy it, if you get stuck on a boss, DO NOT GIVE UP!

I have platinum’d this game. Took me 100 hours, and I don’t regret playing it. It’s a great soulsborne, knows the assignment, is executed extremely well. Just Save often though, it does crash quite often.My biggest word of warning is that the game is tough in the beginning, fair up until the very end, then total BS during the last stage and the final boss. Can take quite a bit of practice to nail down. You can basically get any boss within 3-4 tries, possibly less if you use summons; except at the very end. In this way, it’s like Lies of P.Is it worth playing? DefinitelyIs it beyond frustrating? Yes.Should you play it anyway? 100%

The First Berserker is a beautiful souls-like action rpg with a Nioh like mission structure, in which you will pick the area to teleport to and complete the mission or side mission, and loot drops. Khazan will have access to 3 weapon types each with their own stat bonuses and skill trees which, while they play pretty different from each other, means if you want an rpg of endless "builds" First Berserker is light in that department. This games emphasis on the 3 weapon types however makes the combat an absolute blast as you weave all your upgraded attack actions and skills into this dance of perfect blocks and perfect dodges. The First Berserker has been the first souls-like since Lies of P, also a recommend, that made me love the genre all over again. If you want a solid souls-like with plenty of challenge this game is all that and then some.

Don't really enjoy souls-like games. Beating my head against the wall to just move forward. This game plays like a souls-like with some RPG elements and skills that make it feel like a ARPG. Also the rewarding system if you die against the boss pending on where you are within it - it will net you some xp to eventually maybe level up from dying a billion times to one boss (I never had this happen, ever.) I've been progressing slowly but have been enjoying this more than any souls game, aside from Bloodborne. Recommend it for newcomers to the souls like genre.

The First Berserker: Khazan is hands down one of the best Soulslike experiences I’ve had on the PS5. The combat is tight and brutal in all the right ways, with bosses that genuinely push you to adapt and improve. The world is dark, gritty, and beautifully crafted, with an atmosphere that sucks you in and never lets go.

Took awhile to get used to the animation delay in all actions (guarding/parrying & attacking) as this made the game harder & exhausting than it already is. Probably the hardest souls-like i’ve played, yes even harder than all the actual FromSoft souls titles. The level designs weren’t that intriguing besides the end-game areas. Only started to like the game about 3/4th into my first playthrough.Overall, good play with decent combat & story. Great character (anime style), enemy/boss visualization & design. I like the gearing & crafting system with the different passive armor/weapon sets.Would i recommend this game? probably not… unless you are up for the brutal challenge.

The game is beautiful. It is also very hard, so you get a feeling of accomplishment when you get further in the game.
