I bought a custom sized top/bottom blackout shade. The shade came precisely sized to my specifications, so fit was not an issue. They are white on one side (outside) and whatever color you select on the inside. The blackout feature is excellent - they are aluminum lined which lets no light through, and additionally provide very good insulation. On a south facing window the room temperature was very noticeably reduced. The top down / bottom up feature is handy and works very well, but it can be hard to reach the top segment. The product photo shows a wand but mine did not come with one. The mounts snap in very tight, and I have had no issues so far with that. The overall unit is flexible enough to accommodate an uneven windowsill without affecting the mounts, making it very easy to install. The only problem I had with mine is that it tends to not stay all the way down when closed. I have not figured out how to remedy this yet, but I might just add a few ounces of weight inside the bottom segment. Shipping (from China?) was very fast. Mine came in only 2 weeks or so.

Install was pretty straight forward and seller made sure to check in that it would indeed work for my application before making it for me. Turned out nice.

However, because the seller has limited control over the manufacturing process, the motor I received did not function properly. It appeared to be not like a new item and had multiple black ink marks, and the remote batteries were dead with some signs of discharge.I reached out to customer service, and they responded promptly, offering me a replacement motor. They also provided PDF instructions for installation and setting up the motor and remote. After reviewing the instructions, I realized that the motor had been pre-used and set to stop at a short distance. Following their guidance, I was able to reset it correctly while I wait for the replacement one.During my research for a solution, I accidentally came across another Amazon seller, ZStarr, who provides detailed video instructions. If you're struggling with installation, I recommend searching for their videos, as they sell the exact same product and the videos are great to guide the installation using the 'correct' way. In my case, the support strings were placed on the wrong side of the black roller, causing the shade to extend and collapse in the opposite direction related to the movement of the two end brackets, which led to it getting stuck when running the motor. I identified this issue by watching instructional videos from ZStarr and manually drilled new holes to reposition the strings correctly.Final Verdict:I’m giving this seller 5 stars, mainly due to their excellent customer service and the high-quality shade itself (only seller provide oversize shade). While the initial experience with the motor was frustrating, their support team was helpful in resolving the issue.

The product is good. Easy to assemble.What made me mad is they undersized one of the shades so now I will have to put molding up to cover the gaps left from the undersized.I sent EXACT triple checked measurements!Had to add molding trim

The product arrived earlier than the predicted time. The description and color was true to the pictures provided on Amazon by the company. installation was as cinch in my case, I didn’t have to use a ladder, which is always a big plus. The brackets are strong and easy to put in place to support the shade. It is easy to place the shade into the brackets. When they snap into place, you have full confidence that the shade is not going to fall. The windows in my bedroom open from the bottom and from the top depending on where you want the outside air to come in at. So these top down bottom up shades are perfect for windows like that. I can open up the top of the window and lower the top of the shade for ventilation and still have total privacy. I also got the 100% blackout which is also ideal for a bedroom. I’m very happy with the shades and I recommend them! I’ll update if anything unusual occurs with them.

The media could not be loaded. I usually don’t leave any bad review even when a product wasn’t ideal, but for this one, I have no choice. It’s pricey for my 21”x 45” skylight blind. My handyman installed it last Sunday, everything was fine. However, 3 days later, on Wednesday, the blind stops moving all the way up, only opens 4”, then stops, it can close, but just won’t open more. On Sunday, my handyman and I tried all methods on the support page, including removing it and reset, but the motor only rotated a small range, then stops, the motor reset does not work too. Also, the blind are not wide enough, there are light leaks through on each side(but this isn’t a deal breaker). There is no customer service to call or chat online.Since I am in the return period, I tried to return it, after filling out all info, they told me it’s not eligible for return, the seller will contact me in 48 hours. But they didn’t respond in 48 hours
