Bamboos skateboard
My son really loves his new bamboo skateboard. It’s very strong and he loves skateboarding on his brand new skateboard.

Awesome skateboard
I was hesitant to buy a bamboo board because I have been riding maple decks for the last 20 years but I can say now that I really like the way it feels. It does seem to have a little more "pop" than other decks I have ridden. It doesn't feel soft at all and actually I think it feels a little stiffer than my last deck. It slides really well. The hardness of the bamboo make it slide really fast. I will be buying these from now on.

Pay close attention to the Advertisement
So first Im going to talk about the picture used in the advertisement. When looking at the picture, it looks like there are 2 boards at first glance until you notice one has some type of marking on it and the other does not. This is because the picture is of the top and underside of what the board looks like. Also the name of the company is Bamboo Skateboards so if youre not paying attention to details youd probably think youd be getting 2 boards. This advertisement needs to fix this by simply adding the words top and bottom to the advertising pictures. The boards themselves are perfect. I bought them for a friend of mine who's going to do artwork on it although she was really wanting 2 of these as she plans to sell the board. As she stated, you will have to sand and prep the board to paint it as well as buy the wheels and trucks in order to make this into a fully functional skateboard but other than those facts, this board feels really sturdy and strong.

Perfect for 95% of riders
There could be a tiny handful of skaters who are better off with a full maple board. Maybe those who are super heavy and looking for less flex? Maybe someone who is board sliding some really rough surfaces? The bamboo board is a little softer on the bottom so it will scratch but it seems only cosmetic to me. Personally, I don't even pay attention to the bottom of my board because I tear it up after one day of riding on any board (maple or not) -- skateboards are meant to be scratched and dinged up. As long as it doesn't snap, I'm good. But for the vast majority of riders it's perfect. If you are a beginner, there's absolutely no reason why these bamboo boards won't work for you. Some mentioned that these boards have more concave but I just happen to like that. If the manufacturer starts making different levels of concave, it will appeal to a larger group of people. I guess some prefer almost no concave like a 1980's vert board but to each their own.I also prefer the tiny extra bit of flex to reduce impact when I don't land on bolts. If you land on bolts most of the time, I don't see how this board would feel any different when landing.Let's be honest though: 80% of real world riders don't land anything! It's dumb to think that any equipment is holding them back from becoming the next Ryan Sheckler. These bamboo boards are basically mostly the same as any maple board. It's definitely not some sketchy piece of shot like a cheap walmart board.

Price should be lower!
The board is still holding up after 5 months, but it has quite a few pressure cracks. The bamboo almost looks artificial. Not worth the money imo.

Worth the money
Definitely worth the price. Lighter than the average deck, I haven't made drastic damage to the deck yet but it feels like the deck does get damaged easier than the average deck. I suggest buying one of these if lighter and cheaper decks with no graphics is what you're looking for, but I can't say for sure (so far) that the deck is stronger than the average deck against my aggressive skateboarding. What you're buying is a bamboo deck, wrapped-up with a sticker and info card. In conclusion, definitely worth the price but I'm not sure if the deck is longer-lasting than the typical decks you would find at your local skateshops, I do love the feel it gives though!

Surprisingly good
I’ve only skated this deck for a few sessions, but I was previously using it as a balance board.Using it as a balance board, I noticed it definitely had some flex, but never felt like it was in danger of snapping despite having my weight pressing down on the ends of the board for long periods of time.Using it as a skateboard, the board feels really good under my feet, and the flex gives my pop a little boost and gives a little cushion to landing. I’ve even had some sloppy landings with my foot on the tail and it didn’t show any signs of weakness.I think despite this being less firm than a maple deck, it may actually be more durable. Will definitely be buying more of these.
