The only choice for Morimoto D2S 5.0 projectors.
I can't believe that I just dropped $120 on HID bulbs at this point in my life. I was supposed to be upgrading to LED projectors by now in my headlight retrofit, but since those ended up sucking, I went back to HIDs in my retrofit. These were recommended, as they're cool enough to still be seen as white light output through my Morimoto Mini D2S 5.0 projectors which are "hampered" by the anti-reflective coating on their lenses. I like these bulbs, even though I shudder to think about replacing them in a few years time. But HID bulbs always last longer than you think, and for the price(even at a huge discount from other retrofit parts shops) and the brand, these should last a good 4-5 years of normal use. I'll update if anything else occurs and see if I can also get a decent output shot to try and emulate the color. As for the color: I'm measuring this through the anti-reflective coating on these projectors I bought and while the output is finally white, it's more like a 5000K(natural white with just a hint of yellow when seen at certain angles, but not like the color of LED bulbs which are much more like 6000K and kinda purplish/white) color through these lenses. I'm sure that through another type of clear lens, these will definitely be on the cooler side of the spectrum, especially considering how much AR lenses really warm up the color on HID bulbs. But in all I'm happy with the performance of these bulbs, not so happy with the fact that I purchased new ballasts for these bulbs and spent all in nearly $400 for my retrofit upgrade. But if you have a clear lens projector, you could probably get away with the OSRAM CBIs rather than these and achieve the same color output as I did with these.I'll update further down the road about my experience with these bulbs. Give 'em a shot!Update: I added a picture from a dark road to get the general idea. Color replication isn't perfect in this picture, but you'll get an idea as to how these bulbs perform in the D2S 5.0 projectors.

2019 QX60 Limited
First set I purchased was D4S for my Lexus IS350. After the burn in period of about 12-15 hours of use they will become Whiter and Brighter in color. During the break in period I was a bit disappointed with the slight yellow color but it does turn crystal white and it gains Lux according to my meter. Fast forward a year and I purchased the D2S for my QX60 Limited and so far it has been the same experience. When the D2S ignites it seemed bluer then my D4S bulbs and was a better color white once up to temperature. Color is closer to 5-5.5k color and definitely not 7k with either set. The stock 4k bulbs have a small amount more visibility in the rain but that’s subjective. I have the OEM Led fog lights and the D2S CBB match them very well. My wifes QX60 has the factory HID bulbs and Hikari H11 Led fog lights and my newer QX60 with the Osram CBB is alot nicer to drive at night due to the increased visibility.

Amazing Upgrade
I installed the Osram CBB’s on another car and loved the color and brightness, so I had to put them on the 2007 G35. Before i did anything, I verified that these were legit through Osram’s Trust Program. No issues there, so I jumped straight to the install. It was a little frustrating, but I was able to do it without removing the bumper. I wouldn’t recommend going that route unless you have long, skinny fingers.Anyways, the improvement was immediately noticeable. They start off purpleish-blueish in color and then quickly transition to a pure white after a few seconds. They’re significantly brighter than the replacement xenon’s that we’re in the car and really light up the road. It’s a nice, crisp white illuminating the road and when viewed from the front, they look pure white. No yellow at all. They’re pretty close to the stock LED’s in newer cars as far as illumination is concerned.Once again, I’m blown away by the CBB’s performance and looks. I just hope that they last at least 3-4 years. The back of the box clearly stated that these last half as long as standard xenon’s.

100% authentic and reliable
I've ordered 3 sets of these from Auto Light Industries Inc., which always has the best price, at 2 week intervals and all of them are 100% authentic OSRAM CBBs that came packaged very well with bubble wrap. I used OSRAM's verification utility to verify serial numbers and also physically inspected them for the trademark laser welds, smooth quarts glass at top and bottom, full length ceramic rod, bumps on the glass that holds the capsule, the shape of the capsule, the angle of the base, and that everything was aligned properly.Even if you don't understand all that, just know that Auto Light Industry Inc. is selling authentic bulbs. As for the light output, they're definitely blue in the 6000K range through a clear lens and 35W ballast. They are about 5500K in color through a coated lens like a G5 EX or MD2S 5.0 using a 35W ballast; but 4800K true white with a tinge of warmth using a 45W Hylux ballast with 5.0's coated lens, this is my set up.Please understand your setup before "reviewing" the color output of these bulbs and understand that blue light is actually terrible for being able to see and will hurt oncoming traffic's night vision. So if you run these, do so responsibly.
