Update! I am super impressed with the customer service. I was contacted immediately after writing the review below and they took care of me, sent me a new one just a couple of days later and it just arrived today. It works great and I am thrilled with the customer service. If only every product had such great customer care. Changing my review to five stars. Thank you! Pretty good case. I ordered it months ago and just started using it this week. The problem is that right out of the box the N key only works if you basically pound your finger on it. It’s really frustrating and I missed the window to return it so I guess I have to keep pounding on the keyboard and hope it fixes itself . Not cool. I do like the lighted keyboard and the pencil holder on top.

Love this case so much!!! It has so many capabilities that make it so useful! Typing is easy and it looks just like a computer. I will definitely be recommending it to my friends with tablets!

Excellent product, except I have to agree with complaints about the weight it added to the iPad. Although I won’t ding it any stars for the weight because I knew what I was getting into when I purchased. None of these keyboard cases are “lightweight” to be honest and add weight to the iPad. Yes, you can spend nearly $400 and get the Apple product and save SOME weight, but it is added weight nonetheless. With that said, the only lag I have found (which seems to be a complaint) is when the keyboard goes into sleep mode if left turned on. And yes, it makes it a little difficult to “find” the cursor, and get it moving, when using the trackpad to “wake” the keyboard up, that is super minor if you realize that it takes time for it to wake up and re-establish the Bluetooth connection. Again, it is not the $400 Apple keyboard that doesn’t use Bluetooth and never goes to “sleep” because it is hardware connected and uses the iPad battery for its power. The keys of the Type Case are well spaced for a guy with big mitts and are above average for their tactile feedback compared to others I’ve used on previous versions of iPads I have owned. Love the backlit keyboard colors and use the rotating color scheme on mine; although some colors are better than others at seeing the keys in low light situations. The Apple Pencil charging location is nice and protects the pencil from being knocked off the iPad. And I utilize the soft pencil holder for when the pencil is fully charged and I’m not using it; like when watching a movie or checking out YouTube videos. I cannot speak to the case’s protection capabilities because I haven’t dropped it and work hard to make sure I don’t because the case doesn’t appear to be capable of withstanding any kind of real fall, but I’m basing that on appearances only. Overall well worth the money and would purchase again if needed. I’ve used this product now for a little over a month and if there is any complaint, it is how stiff the hinge is when trying to open/close the keyboard, but if it wasn’t stiff, it probably wouldn’t hold up the iPad in various positions.

This is a very solid, very protective case with keyboard. We originally bought one for an 11” iPad and liked it so much, we bought another when we upgraded to a 13”. A few pro’s and con’s… Pro: It’s very solid and I feel it protects the iPad very well. The hinge has been excellent and is my favorite part. I can set the angle to anything and it stays in place. The 13” version has a little garage for the Apple Pencil and that is terrific. The 11” version sadly lacks that feature. The keyboard works very well and has tons of shortcuts. Con: It’s heavy. The 13” iPad weighs 1.25 pounds and in the case it’s 3 pounds. It’s also frictionless. The case is a smooth plastic and quite slippery and I worried that it would slide out of my hands. So I bought a roll of LifeGrip Anti Slip Transparent Anti Slip Tape 2” wide and put a couple of strips on the bottom of the case. It made a huge difference. All in all, I would recommend this case to those who need a good keyboard and are not bothered by the weight.

The more I use this, the more I like it. It’s pretty heavy compared to a standard slim cover, but it’s far lighter than a full-blown laptop. I like to lay down and write at night and it’s so comfortable to type propped on my lap. Careful when closing it though, cuz it likes to snap shut. It has a little bit of a high pitched whine when turned on, but I stopped noticing it pretty quickly. I wish it came with a USB-C to USB-C cord to charge directly from my iPad instead of USB-A to C. It charges REALLY fast, by the way, and the battery life is really good. Backlit keyboard colors are great. Love the Midnight Gray color: has a very slight purple hue that’s really sleek and tasteful. Keyboard feels very natural. I feel like I’m on a legit laptop instead of a tablet trying to be a laptop. Super easy to snap the iPad into the case. I’m not convinced how protective it will be if dropped; there’s nothing soft between the plastic of the case and my iPad. There's the slightest overlap on the cover opposite the pencil that helps keep the pencil in place when the case is closed. I'm not able to remove my pencil while it's closed which is exactly what I want to keep my pencil secure. I like that it doesn’t bubble up the edges of my screen protector like other standard cases. Seems like a great value with a lot more versatility than the overpriced Apple keyboard. It does have a weak point though. After a few months of opening and closing it, there’s a fracture along the thin plastic that surrounds the iPad speakers. It’s not enough to compromise it yet, but that’s not going to get better with time and use. Other than that, it has worked very reliably and I am more than happy with it.

It works. Although the touch pad isn’t that good and is super loud, and it topples over occasionally.

Excellent keyboard. Connected very easily and works great. So much easier to do things like typing emails, etc on the keyboard than using the screen. Matches the color of my Ipad Ait. Awesome delivery.

First task was to work on a simple excel sheet (putting a weekly schedule together); veeeerrryyy glitchy and functions and shortcuts kept interfering when I wanted to just work manually. Space bar is really sticky and needs constant double tapping to work. 2 hours later and I give up. I like the design and the swivel (and the opaque covers (unlike the other transparent ones) so I'm sad it doesn't perform. UPDATE - this seller does not respond properly to returns and complaints. They take forever to send messages and keep giving the run around to avoid a refund. Specifically: device ordered Sept 6; device returned Sept 11; Sept 12 device picked up; Sept 12/13/14 seller keeps sending me messages - try this try that, clean the keyboard of crumbs etc when the item was new out of box and should not need cleaning (!!), then response was "we will share your concerns with the appropriate department" then they say "we want to offer a replacement" etc etc - when they already have the returned item in their possession (how do I know the won't just sent the original back?) when I already told them k ordered a replacement and paid for it. The don't listen to their customers and give a draw out resolution process. I just want my money back - they have the return item and I followed the return procedures to the letter incl packaging the item back in all original packaging. BTW - replacement keyboard isn't much better quality - except the space bar works. Still very lagging and disconnects from the screw randomly and have to keep turning it on and off and reconnecting to blue tooth. Better to stick with Apple product which works seamlessly.
