effective and easy to use
Amazing: a teaspoon of this stuff in a big bowl of water, and in just a few minutes a delicate sweater comes out fresh and clean. The "Celebration" scent is pleasant.

Effective No-Rinse Soap That’s Perfect for Delicates
I’ve used Soak Laundry Soap for a few months on delicate fabrics like wool and silk. The no-rinse formula really saves time and leaves items clean without any residue or stiffness. The scent is light and fades quickly after drying, which I prefer. A little goes a long way, so one bottle lasts a long time even with regular use. It’s more expensive than standard detergent, but the results and fabric care quality make it worth it.

Wow!
I bought this for some woolen sweaters I have but I thought I’d put it to the test first. I have a very old quarter zip that I stuck in my cat’s bed because she likes to sleep on it. It’s smelly and dirty in spots. I soaked it for half an hour, squeezed the water out and let it air dry. I was shocked at the results. It looked new and it had a nice clean scent. No sign of the cat’s previous possession. She did get it back. I’m sold. Great stuff.

FAR Exceeded my Expectations! This is like a miracle
After a little research I got this to wash the thigh high compression hosiery/torture devices I have to wear for a while. I have to wash them every day. Soak comes in many scents, but I always use scentless so that's what I got. First time, I read the directions, which said to use one gallon of water with one teaspoon (one TEASPOON? yes!) of Soak wash, then to add the things to be washed, soak for 15 minutes, and that's it. No rinse necessary. I squeezed them gently and put on a sweater dryer - clean and dry in the morning. Then I got a dog harness one of my dogs had on for a procedure at the vet. I was covered with blood when I picked her up, because they put it on her before she came to. Good idea; she's a wiggle worm. The harness had been in the laundry room basket for three weeks. I had forgotten about it. So I put a gallon of water and a teaspoon of Soak in the sink, put in the harness blood side down, 15 minutes later absolutely no sign of blood in the water or on the harness. It was like magic - highly effective - and I heartily recommend Soak! Also can be used in a washing machine.

Soft Wool, Soft Scent... Maybe Too Soft
It’s wool soap—does what it says on the bottle. But let me tell you, it smells lovely while it’s doing its thing. Soaking my knit projects feels like a tiny spa day for sweaters. The only bummer? That scent basically ghosts you once everything’s dry. Poof. Gone. Like it was never there. A bit of a letdown, especially when you’re sniffing your finished work like a weirdo hoping for that cozy lavender (or whatever) to linger. BUT! The cleaning power is fantastic, it blocks beautifully, and it leaves your woolies soft, squishy, and ready for compliments. So while the scent fades, the results definitely don’t.

Fantastic soap for hand washing
Ok this stuff is phenomenal. My washing machine broke and we couldn't get a new one delivered for 2 weeks, so with 4 kids in the house we began drowning in dirty laundry pretty quickly. I decided that washing clothes in my bathtub would be a great idea to tide us over, and found this soap by accident. I am so glad I took a chance on this. Just a few capfuls in the bathtub, soak the clothes for 15 minutes or more, then squeeze the excess water out, and then pop them in the dryer. I washed it all with this - towels, jeans, wool socks, underwear, bras, sweaters, snow pants - and it all got perfectly clean and SO soft. Is it fun to handwash, no. But I got to see just how much dirt was floating off the dirty clothes thanks to this soap, which was kind of fun adjacent. I will keep using it for delicates from now on. I just wish they had a vanilla type smell. I used the fragrance free, the yuzu (citrus scent), and the celebration scent (floral citrus). I am normally very sensitive to fragrance and I am actually allergic to citrus peels, but these soaps did not cause me any skin irritation or anything.

From woolens to couches, this detergent does it all!
I knit and crochet all kinds of fibers as well as housing a unique collection of hand knit woolens. I used this product on a vintage Irish cable knit cardigan that is well over 40 years old, and it worked wonders. This worked well on everything from wool to cashmere to cheaper acrylic yarns. I also used a little on my sofa and rugs. The integrity of every item held up very well, and the scent is just right. It’s worth the money, especially if you’re a fiber artist.
