Best thing on earth. No joke.
Best thing I have EVER bought. I had to put diesel fuel in my home heating tank EVERY day this winter 5 to 10 gallons every day for 4 long months the first few weeks I was trying to dump it, its too high for me to lift the can, tried a million ways all of whixh took forver and left me soaked in diesel fuel whixh isnt great for a preschool teacher.... then I found this. Had really low expectations thought anything that would make the fuel dumping even a little easier was worth 15$..... this SAVED MY LIFE! empties a 5 gallon can in under 7 minutes (if the can is level with the source your dumping into) batteries lasted 3 months in this thing before I had to change them out and that is with DAILY USE for 5 to 10 gallons. I took the batteries out every day and stored them out of it stored the pump in my trunk and the batteries inside my house where they wouldn't freeze but the pump did great outside. No issues whatsoever. The reviews were worrying me people said the switch would get stuck, the batteries corroded.... but storing the batteries out of the pump gave me no issues this was the best purchase I made all einter and it paid for itself in the gas I didnt spill the first week of use. I highly recommend this. Was expecking a good week or two before having to replace figured the diesel would eat right through it... but i got this in january, and i just used it last night, and still works like new onlt on the second set of batteries I just changed out this week. Do not hestitate. Buy it. Amazing value.

Works Surprisingly Well -- especially for the price
We've used this for over 6 months to pump mucky water out of sludge buckets. It took a lot of abuse before becoming temperamental to the point that I ordered another one. Out of curiosity I took the old one out into the shop to see if I could figure out what the problem was. If I bonked it just so, the motor would kick in briefly. So I cut away the black tube between the battery compartment and the motor, leaving the motor hanging from its wire. Now, if I held the battery compartment just so, the motor hummed along like new no matter how I angled or shook the motor around. But if I held the motor still and tilted the battery compartment around, it stopped or worked intermittently. So the motor was still absolutely fine, it just wasn't getting steady current. I suspect the thin foil contact at the bottom of the battery tube is the culprit -- it would be better if that part was heavier metal in my opinion. I could maybe have fixed it, but for only 14 bucks I just ordered a new one. If the next one has the same problem, I may try to beef up the battery contacts somehow, since I would have more confidence that the pump is fine. I was impressed with how well the motor was sealed. Now I won't worry in the future about getting sediment "in the motor" because it's completely sealed in plastic, with a good rubber seal where the thin motor shaft comes out. So five stars even though we eventually had to replace it, because it lasted way longer than I thought it would -- considering the sludge bucket duty we're using it for.

Handy and Reliable Battery Powered Liquid Pump
The Sierra Electric Tools JB5684 Battery Operated Liquid Transfer Pump makes transferring liquids hassle free. It’s very convenient for fueling or emptying containers without spills, and the battery powered design saves a lot of effort. The flow rate is fair, and it works reliably for most tasks. My only minor complaint is that the hose could be a bit longer and sturdier. Overall, it’s a practical, time-saving tool that performs well for its price.

Easy, small and mighty.
I love this pump. I live in Florida we get hurricanes. When we have a storm coming the first thing we must do is get gas to run our generator. We do not have the luxury to wait and see about the storm because we actually run out of gas at all the gas stations. So we have had a few scares with storms but never hit us. Before buying this pump getting rid of several gallons of gas was a nightmare. We have the 5 gallon gas containers they are heavy when full, awkward to hold up to a Suv and pour I even have some gas tanks with a type of vent spout will not fit in Suv. Just a messy aggravating task. This little pump is genius. I pumped 16 gallons of gas in no time at all. I used this to remove as much gas as possible from the generator. I like this little pump so much I purchased a second one and purchased another as a gift for a friend. Like I said about hurricanes sometimes we loose water and I have three bathtubs filled with fresh water and it is also a major pain to retrieve water from the tubs. This pump works like a charm to neatly fill a bucket of water without contaminating the entire tub. No bailing out water and spilling and dripping all over the place. This pump is easy to use small and mighty. The one I use for fuel I have no issues with it breaking down after pumping fuel, as a matter of fact it will be used this weekend to get rid of the fuel purchased for Hurricane Matthew.
