Good product, good price, good results.
This worked well for a DIY solar installation. The manufacturer of the inverter recommend making the connections with ferrule crimped wire.

Well made, mechanism works reliably and smoothly. Good value.
Tool appears to be of good quality. Being for specialised terminals it has not been used much yet. Happy with the quality and price.

Worked just like I needed it to.
Works perfectly for flag connectors as well as the more conventional straight style.

Solid
Solid build. Will only sue occasionally so don’t know how it would hold up long term.

Works fine but…
Puts ridges on one side so you must keep turning if you want on all sides.

I love it
At best, I'm a hobbyist, but that does mean that I use crimp connectors a lot. Before this tool, I just use the bottom of wire strippers and squeezed the connector there. Honestly it worked ok but I never really had great luck. It was fiddly to do and lots of times, I got a bad crimp or I damaged the outer heat shrink or the wires just pulled out. I wasn't aware that ratcheting wire crimpers were a thing, but I'm very pleased to have this, so pleased that they got their own hook on my pegboard. Compared to a regular wire stripper this thing's a tank. It's not very compact and doesn't fit in my little project case, but the oversize handles are comfortable in my hand, and easy to use one handed. All of the metal is very thick, thicker than a manual pair of wire strippers would be. The jaw itself is quite large, which means it can more precisely lineup with your crimp connectors and covers more area when it's performing the crimp. The ratcheting mechanism is so easy to use too. It only takes a couple of pumps to get the connector perfect. It takes almost no force on your hand, and there's a thumb lever to easily release it when you're done. I've done a ton of practice crimps with this and I haven't broken the heat shrink outer layer once.

Great for the rv
Great for crimping butt connectors. The ratcheting plotters makes it a super secure crimp. Grip feels comfortable in the hands. High quality that should last a long time.

Kind of a pain
It works but it catches when trying to crimp it down. Theres a lever that you can flip but will open automatically if you really bare down on it.

I have received this for free with the Amazon Vine program, in exchange for a completely unbiased review and perspective. No strings attached! I've gone through my fair share of crimping tools over the years, from basic plier-style ones to more complex models, and this ratcheting crimper from KF CPTEC is genuinely a fantastic piece of equipment for the workshop. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just getting into DIY electrical projects, this tool is built to make your life easier and your connections more reliable. The Good Stuff: Right out of the box, you can feel the quality. This tool has some real heft to it, made from what feels like very durable steel. It doesn't feel flimsy in the slightest. The real magic, though, is the ratcheting mechanism. It applies steady, even pressure until you have a complete, perfect crimp. The tool won't release the connector until the crimp is fully formed, which completely removes the guesswork. Every connection I've made has been clean, secure, and uniform. The colour-coded markings for different wire gauges (AWG 22-8) are clear and easy to read, which is a huge plus when you're switching between different connector sizes. The handles are also surprisingly comfortable, with an ergonomic grip that doesn't kill your hands after a dozen or so crimps. For automotive wiring, especially with heat shrink connectors that need a solid connection to seal properly, this tool is an absolute must-have. Minor Quibbles: To be perfectly balanced, there are a couple of small things to note. Because it's built so solidly, it is a bit on the larger side. If you're trying to get into an extremely tight space deep in an engine bay, you might find it a little cumbersome. Also, the ratcheting release lever was a tiny bit stiff on the first few uses, but it loosened up nicely after that. Final Thoughts: Overall, this is a top-tier crimping tool that produces professional-grade results. It's built like a tank, is incredibly easy to use, and gives me total confidence in my electrical connections. For anyone doing regular wiring work, this is an investment that will pay off immediately in speed, comfort, and reliability. Highly recommended!
