Yes, if your engine isn't highly modified, then gap your plug per the owner's manual.

I've read yes and no with performance plugs. If you do, make sure you don't damage the tip. It is very delicate (if pried on).

:lol: NO. If you are getting 4 plugs for that price, they are counterfeit and may break off in your engine. These are excellent plugs and what goes in every Lexus (different size but same tech).

Pardon me but I do believe the correct functioning spark plugs for your particular application are the NGK 7397 Iridium tipped plugs. Please don’t be misled by the cost. NGK Iridium are undoubtedly the best out of all currently available specifically for your engine. In most cases these spark plugs are sold in packages of four. Since your Mazda has 6 cylinders, it might be more economically viable to find a retail vendor that provides them in packages of 6. But no worries because knowing that your engine is performing at its peak efficiency level by design, having two extra plugs now is 33% closer to having another perfect set of 6 spark plugs when the next suggested spark plug replacement becomes due at 100,000 miles !
