It seems to have NO image stabilization. Almost unusable.
At this price point, I didn't expect a lot. Professional cameras start at $800, so I did not expect professional quality. But I had hoped it would be at least usable. For my purposes, it was not. It seems to have NO image stabilization. When the camera is hand-held, it's painful to watch the footage. Most of what I video is hand-held, so that's a deal breaker for me. It also can't focus close to anything closer than 1 and 1/2 to 2 feet. See my video I took with it. If it had been able to focus up to 6 inches, and had built in image stabilization (as every modern smart-phone does), I probably would have kept it. But it doesn't, so I'm sending it back. It's too bad, because it had some features I liked. I liked the design, it was comfortable to hold and easy to use, the manual was short, well written and easy to follow. The controls were easy to navigate. The built in mike was ok, the external mike, better, especially in the wind. The night vision setting was cool, as you don't typically find that in video cameras. I really wanted to like this camera, but the jerky movement of the video, on all settings, was too much. It came with an external handle bracket, to "stabilize" the image by making the camera easier to hold. But that's not the same as built-in image stabilization, which is standard on any smartphone nowadays. I used the bracket, it was a nice handle, but made very little difference in the stability while moving the camera. There is also a slight distortion that happens as the camera moves. Mounted on a tripod, indoors, the resulting footage looks better, as long as you don't need to move the camera whilst shooting, or take closeups of labels of products or anything. But that's too limiting for me. My smartphone does a much better job, so this is going back. As a web cam, it... works. The quality is similar to my webcam, but you can't get too close to this one without losing the focus, AND, when it's being used as a webcam, it will not use the camcorders microphone; you will have to supply your own microphone. It's not a flaw, it tells you this in the instructions. I let it use the mic in my Logitech cam, and that worked. But when I recorded a cam session with zoom, the video came out, but no sound. Go figure. Since my existing webcam has none of these issues, why would I use this instead? I wouldn't. I suspect these inexpensive cameras may be Ordro cameras, made by a company that sells in bulk to other companies who rebrand them under other names. Look it up on Google/Youtube. It's disappointing. It seems the Big name manufacturers have abandoned the lower end of the consumer camcorder market. Possibly because so many people who would be in that market, are using their smartphones instead. But if you take lots of videos, using your phone that way can become inconvenient, and you can't get features like lengthy optical zoom, etc. It would be nice to see a quality camcorder for that market. Till then, I think I'll be looking at used camcorders, models with a record for quality. UPDATE 06/13/2025: I think these cameras may be dashboard cams, put into camcorder bodies. It would explain why they have no stabilization or ability to focus close up; they are meant to be mounted on a car dashboard, where they would not be expected to have either of those functions. I got my refund from Amazon. And used it to buy a used Canon VIXIA HF R400 camcorder for the same price as I'd spent on this camera. But the VIXIA R400 is SO much better; it's HD 1080p, has stabilization, 32x real optical zoom, can focus up to about 1 inch. Touchscreen controls. Everything I could want and more, for the same price this camera had cost.

Not what they claim
This camera is not what they claim. From the outside it looks great. Once you start using it you'll see where it is lacking. I bought 3 of them because the reviews were good. But quickly discovered that the reviews mostly show pictures of the camera externally. Not a lot of reviews from users that show the quality of the recording. 1. It breaks up longer videos into 12 minute clips. Yes, if your recording is longer than 12 minutes it will break it up into shorter clips, which you will have to edit together later. 2. It takes pictures in 4K, but the video quality is not 4K. I attached a screenshot of a recent video we did using this camera. As you can see, far from 4K. 3. We bought the version that came with a microphone. Not a 3rd party microphone, but a boom style mic that was in the same box as the camera. We were shocked that the cord to attach the microphone was too short. It literally is stretched to max just to be able to plug it in. Once plugged in, you can't close the viewer as the cord is stretched in front of it. Horrible design. We ended up having to return all 3 of them.

Stop being so damn cheap…
I cannot express my deep seated hatred for nearly every product engineer involved in so many of the products I buy… you guys need to not be so damn concerned about saving an extra thousandth of a cent per unit by cutting corners. I mean for Christ sakes, the Mic that comes with this this kit is nearly useless. In the directions it says to mount the mic and then plug it in. This is impossible they don’t provide enough cord to plug the thin in. Photos show mic facing forward as expected but the cable comes out the front and cannot be connected except by plugging in and then attaching. Once in place the cord is taught to the max and will wear out quickly. I thought maybe it was supposed to be mounted backwards but then the stabilizer handle doesn't bumps into it. I’ll give it a try because I need this next week but this is probably going to get returned at my earliest convenience and I will go with a different brand entirely. Also there are a couple of lights on the back that are supposed to say something and I’m 41 years old, have near perfect vision and you can’t make out what they are supposed to say. Pretty terrible design.

Bad video quality
Got this recorder to make some youtube videos. I am pretty disappointed with the video quality. Main thing is that it's blurry, especially closer than 4 feet. Granted I am an amateur at best, so probably need to work on getting better lighting and camera angles, but it's almost embarassing to post something of this quality. My iPhone 8 crushes this thing.

Trash. Not accurate from description
Trash camera. Didn't come with everything in kit, does not record in high quality whatsoever. Frame rate is a lie, and the sound is barely understandable at full vol on my computer. No mic adjustments. For this price, just get an Action Camera. I have a 4k one and it does well at 30fps and it can record 1080 for 60fps. Also action cameras have better modes to use. Can fit in pocket too

Not as advertised.
The video this camera produced when zoom was used displayed really poor resolution for being 4K, Ultra HD 80mp quality. It definitely was not 4k quality. Now I know better than to purchase video equipment that is not a name brand. Don't waste your money on this camcorder.

Mediocre
Mediocre quality in every respect. Not worth the price. Stick to your smart phone.
