4 stars because of the short screws they give you. If the box is not perfectly flush with the drywall, the screws are hard to get started to mount the fixture to the electrical box. Wouldn't hurt, nor cost them anything to give screws 1/4" longer

I ordered 4 of these semi-flush fixtures for our foyer and hallway. I love the vintage/industrial/craftsman look and paired these with Edison bulbs.PROS:• high-quality feel (sturdy metal & thick glass)• easy installation• well-packaged (all 4 lights arrived in perfect shape)• look high-end• small-ish size doesn't overpower an already small space (like our hallway)• very affordable (just over $20)CONS:• oil rubbed bronze finish scratches easily• wattage stickers are on underside of black metal component, which you see looking upOverall, a really great light. It feels hefty and high-quality, and the look is really sophisticated in a modern farmhouse/craftsman kind of way. Any installation hurdles we encountered were because of how the lighting in our house was set up and not because of the lights themselves (one light box wasn't flush with the ceiling, another light box had too big a drywall hole around it without enough room to screw in metal plate from light) — the install on a properly prepared ceiling light box was maybe 10-15 minutes (including removing the old light).The only small thing is to handle the metal part very carefully so it doesn't get scratched during installation — I scratched one a little trying to peel off the wattage sticker. Not a big issue for us, I would maybe rate at 4.5 stars, but I'm fine rounding up because especially for the price, this is a fantastic light and value.

Against all common and fiscal sense, we decided to move in the height of Covid. When we moved into our new home, it was sporting those absolutely awful boob lights that just make us all blush and squirm a bit uncomfortably. Don’t even pretend you don’t know what I’m talking about... because you do. We ALL do. Anyway, that was on the top of my to-do list, but knowing we have so many home projects to do (note the in-progress closet reno, lovely textured ceilings and the dated front door that also has got to go in just that one pic alone...) well with all the updating needs, I went looking for an affordable lighting option. These were perfect!! I ended up buying and replacing all the hallway lights throughout our house and couldn’t be happier!

This has an antique look to it which I like.The item arrives securely packaged in its box with the necessary hardware to install.The glass shade is thick enough also a rubber gasket is supplied that you slip around the socket when you install the glass.The socket is a ceramic type which I approve much better than the plastic ones, it helps to dissipate heat from the bulb.The black paint finish is nice, semi flat look with 2 gold pinstripes but, can be scratched / scuffed up easily.Installation is simple for you DIY.Did have a bit of an issue, where the two threaded rods that you secure the light base to with the decorative nuts didn't protrude out far enough. They could have been a slight bit longer.Designed in Canada, made in China.Pictures, everybody likes pictures...

Okay so, I had been hunting for days for the perfect light fixtures to match the other brass fixtures I have in my home. I chose this one because the shade of brass in the photos was the same color brass I have in my home already. And I loved the style! Well it finally came and the box looked just like the picture, perfect brass color just like the picture, but the fixture inside was not even the slightest bit brass. Ugh.. Was so disappointed. It had a brushed finished but looked more bronze/tan.. nothing like the picture. I would call it light bronze. Not even close to the picture on the box. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to send it back and shop more so I ended up spray painting it. Never had to do that before. I still love the style of it, was just super bummed about the false advertisement. Everything else about the light is identical to the picture and the description. Was very easy to install and looks gorgeous. Just had to remove stars since it wasn’t the color that is advertised. If I knew beforehand that it wasn’t going to be brass colored, I wouldn’t have purchased.

Easy to install, but make sure you get better “twist on wire connectors”I got three and got one in fine by myself (never done electrical before) My neighbor is an electrician and he helped me out on the last two after I had a bad connection due to the “orange plastic twist connectors” that are included. He said they weren’t very nice but he complimented the lights saying they were as nice as some restoration hardware or pottery barn ones he has installed.

I originally purchased these lights at home depot then saw that Amazon had the same lights for a lot less. these lights unbroken which is super important and they are really nice lights in my hallway. I used the soft white LED, I light that light better, however the warm light was so really nice against the bronze finish. I would absolutely recommend this light

We love this light fixture, I purchased a few for the kids bedrooms in our home and have been delighted with them. For the actual light fixture, I would give 5/5 stars. As we are undergoing a major remodel, budget is important to us and I purchased one from amazon warehouse deals in “like new” condition for about half the price. The light is aesthetically in great shape, however one of the screws that holds the glass globe in place is faulty and will not tighten sufficiently. While I understand this is a repackaged item, it was disappointing to find. We will fix the issue ourselves by replacing the screw and or affixing the glass globe in an alternate manner, however, do be mindful when purchasing this item “used”.

Inexpensive light that looks nice but it was so hard to install. There were no instructions in the box and the screws were not long enough to screw in the light. We tried for hours and finally got it but this light is never coming down. It’s still a good light for the price but seems like the materials are cheap and not right for the fit of the light.

It's perfect. I added a roof medallion around it which completes it well well built, with nice thick glass. I had to move the large safety to the top side as it totally interfered with the esthetics. I guess it's code to put it on the underside of the fixture. I put a slightly larger LED vintage looking bulb in and it doesn't extend longer than the glass, which is nice.

First off, it's not the colour shown in the picture, it's much darker. Also this was so difficult to mount, eventually i got it up though.

Not quite so impressed with these. The glass is not well polished on the bottom cut edge making it look a bit cheap. The socket is very rough, making it hard to screw the socket ring on. The cap nuts (the decorative brown nuts that attach the fixture to the ceiling box) were very difficult to attach (not sure what someone with larger fingers would have done). Overall, didn't give me the impression of being well made. Will see how it holds out.

This products looks amazing in my renovated house. It is up to CSA standard and was easy to install by electricians. It is great quality and a fantastic price. Exactly as described with no damage and true to product description. Arrived in timely way as well. Kudos!
