Cyanide & Happiness: A Guide to Parenting by Three Guys with No Kids

I bought three copies in advance and they arrived today. My only disappointment was that there weren't more than 94 pages, altho with more, I might have died laughing. I read it in one pass; couldn't put it down. Like the authors Kris, Rob, and Dave, I am not a parent and at age 77, unlikely to become one, but I appreciated the detailed diagrams and explanations on how to reproduce, including the yucky parts. I bought the other two as gifts for friends who ARE parents, who will also laugh their a**es off as I did. Cyanide and Happiness; the gift that keeps on giving.

This book has prepared me for fatherhood. I was terrified that I'd made a mistake, but after reading this book im ready. That woman (alexa delete that) my wife and i are now prepared for the battle yet to come (alexa delete that) We're prepared for the gift of parenthood. Thank you mr. Wilson

I'm a fan of Cyanide and Happiness comics because they shock and offend in ironically hysterical ways. So, I was excited to purchase this book. I was expecting much more, like an entire work made from scratch, not just a compilation of comics with half-page or full-page essays written next to them. Too much reading, and the essays are not that funny or well-written.It seems very little effort was made in creating this book. The introduction pages are good, but then it feels like repackaged material. They just take an existing comic or two, then put them on the left side of the book, and on the right side they extrapolate on the issue raised in the comic with an essay. The essays feel somewhat disconnected and like they wrote it in less than an hour. In some cases the essays are one sentence, or half a sentence!Too repackaged, not very well made, and too little of it (not even 100 pages).

Before I was deeply lost and unable to properly raise my taco. Now, with the help of this book, I not only birth 382 children, I properly raise them. Thanks for the adult link in the book guys!

Has just a small handful of comics (which are good), and a whole lot of nonsense filler commentary related to parenting, that lacks any and all humor or cleverness. Save your money. I was bored and regretting my purchase after just a few pages in. I thought it would be a book of their comics, but sadly it was a whole lot of bland, juvenile writing. A missed opportunity.

I’ve always loved the Cyanide and Happiness show, and when I heard about this book, I had to get it.These guys have never been politically (or even unpolitically) correct, and they aren’t starting yet.If you lack a sharp sense of humor, walk away, but if the kind of twisted sort that I am, come on in, the water’s fine.

This is one of the funniest books i've read in a while. I am a huge fan of cyanide and happiness, and this book does not disappoint!Most books of this nature have very little content. This book is different; there is a good page of hilariously inappropriate ideas matched with brilliant comics.I have brought it to the office, and my colleague and I read a page a day - it keeps us sane during hectic days (though caution: this book is really NSFW - so do that at your own discretion).

when i have a kid or obtain 1 i will 100% use this book to raise them

But looked it through before wrapping. I love the dark humour, and would recommend.

Hilarious from start to finish.Will definitely refer to this for advice on parenting during the hard times.Wouldn't have been able to have managed the first 18 months without this and it will definitely help with the next 16 years plus. The comics and write ups go hand in hand.
