So far so good.
Works good at night. Not sure about the recorder. Day time depends on where the sun is at. Would be nice if the seller would post a video on how to set it up. But I got it. Also it would have been nice if it came with a battery. Still have a couple things to ck out on it. Once I finish ck'ing it out I just might get another one for my other pew pew.

Does not work out of box
Takes a special battery that’s not commonly available- that’s not included! This is a critical component that could mean life or death and you’re gonna sell it without a battery?? What is wrong with you?

Titled review
I purchased this on a lark and it’s been amusing. To be clear, this is NOT a scope; it’s a camera. If you wear reading glasses you’ll want them on when using the device. I can’t leave anything alone and removed the Weaver mount on the side. There are nuts that will spin on the inside but if you maintain tension on the bolt the nuts will eventually come off…and rattle around in the assembly. They’re easy to remove: just extract the four TINY screws holding the front plate in place and they’ll fall out. Don’t worry about water entering the unit now as it already has ventilation - just don’t get it wet. BTW, TINY as those screws are, I won’t expect it to last under much recoil. Another thing I did was look at the viewer without the ocular assembly. It wildly increases the field of view making the menu friendlier and makes status displays actually viewable. A big disappointment here is the assembly is sealed not with a clear glass lens but a plastic lens that appeared to be pressed in as mine has rub marks. I’m investigating accessing it from behind, pushing it out and affixing a glass lens to replace it. In that it’s a camera, sighting in is goofy. Initially the camera mounted a common Weaver mount wasn’t anywhere near the laser bore sight. Understand that the crosshairs will move on the screen and end up out of center of the display. I used layers of foil tape on the Weaver mount to bring the bore sight and cross hairs together. Finally, the image quality is functional but rather grainy and never quite in focus. But it’s a 95 dollar camera so....

Novelty toy only
Where do I start... So... I found the manual, which helped a lot. 1. Prescribed 18650 battery doesn't fit... neither a button top nor a flat top. You must use an external power C-port source to make it work, OR use an UNPROTECTED 18650 (remove the wrapping, baseplate from the - end, the cap from the + end, and the metal strip between them). It will then fit, just be sure not to over drain or over charge since the protective chip is removed. 2. 1x zoom can only be achieved by removing the rear lens. 3. No rubber cap to protect the SD and C-port from moisture/dirt. 4. Focus is achieved by making multiple turns with the front lens... awkward and slow. It needs a knob at least. 3 stars only because it actually does have IR, and I was able to work around the battery issue... This is a novelty toy at best... I wouldn't recommend for serious use. Mine is for airsoft only.
