Stanbroil Rock Wool Glowing Embers for Vented Gas Fireplace and Log Sets - 6 Oz

I bought and used this about a year ago. There's a lot that comes in the bag. I don't need nearly that much, so I've got plenty to add to the fire place as needed. It really does look like warm glowing coals/embers in the fire place, and does a good job at helping improve the illusion that my gas burning fireplace is really a natural wood burner. I probably spent all of 10 minutes cleaning out each fireplace (we have 2x) and another 5-10 putting the wool where I wanted it. I didn't want to have to experiment, so I put the wool out in a pattern I was fairly confident would work. I got it right the 1st time, and haven't had to worry about it since. I used about 1/3 of the bag in total. So the hardest part for me -- making sure to store the remaining wool in a place I'll remember to find in a couple years.

I order based on reviews, and the reviews for this wool ember is spot on. It burns and glows beautifully in my gas log insert. It actually looks more authentic than the wool original to the logs. I used just a fraction of the product. I will have wool embers for a very long time. This product is highly recommended.

Our 3 year old embers needed replacement, and this product is excellent. As stated in other reviews, more than enough material is provided and likely we now have a several years supply for our fireplace.

Refreshed my fireplace with new embers and it looks great. I recommend you follow the instructions for your fireplace to make sure the logs and embers are in the right places - our installer did it wrong originally. There is probably enough here for 5-10 fireplaces so I can refresh it again in future years. I combined this with some vermiculite as well to spread the flames around a bit more. Overall this bag is a very good value based on the quantity supplied.

This product is easy to use and dramatically improves the look of your gas fire by showing burning embers between and in front of the log set.

Nice product. You receive a lot. You will have lots left over to replenish your fireplace later on.

Just make sure they are placed to catch a flame, and they look like embers. I had to refresh mine, and this bag will last a few years, I'm sure. They make a nice difference to the look of the fire, and I couldn't find a product like this in the big box stores. Very happy. Ready for Christmas. Delivery was fast.
