There are people you can trust in Thailand. And people you can't. Jim Algie you can trust ...
I just bought this today. The thing about Thailand is there are 1,001 things to do and see. Jim Algie is a 20+ year expat who has put his time on the ground and in the provinces. The fact that he can play bass guitar and has ridden a water buffalo is a bonus. I'm looking forward to reading his recommendations as I return to Thailand for my 14th extended stay. This is a good, compact travel guide written by a travel pro.

Great travel book with all info I needed
I bought this after a long search for the perfect travel book, and finally landed on this one. It has all of the information I needed for my travel to Thailand, my travel was a low cost and wanted to live as close to the residents lifestyle as possible to get the full cultural experience Tuttle Travel gave me all I needed. I loved it.

I didn't like this book as much as Lonely Planet's
I didn't like this book as much as Lonely Planet's. It wasn't very useful to me and the suggestions seemed to be on the high-end side.
