Yes, 951 is newer model but they are same, I mix 951 heads with 851 bases when needed

Hello! You can use FSP-851 for replace FSP-751, we have FSP-851 units available.

Q: Can the fsp 951 replace the fst 851? same base?

Yes, the existing base can be used. The main question is the type of system technology you have, if using Flashscan Technology then order the FSP-951, but if using Clip Technology then order the FSP-951-IV.
