Amazon Essentials Men's Sterling Silver Star of David Pendant with Stainless Steel Chain, 24"

This Magen David is very bold and masculine. I was wearing it on the 4th of July and noticed that most everybody's eyes would look at me, then at this pendant. Tuck it in your shirt unless you wan to show your Jewish pride! The chain is cheap and stainless steal, which I replaced immediately. The "ring" that attaches the pendant to the chain is stylized and flattened, which is beautiful. However, it can cause a problem when the Magen David flips over: it can catch on itself and I usually have to have a mirror to un-catch it, turning it right again. These two things are very minor for the price of this sterling silver pendant.

Great necklace. Its actual silver, very giftable, both woman and men can wear it. No tarnishing whatsoever, no green neck marks like you would get with cheap products. It is sturdy and durable. Have had it for a couple of months now and neither a river, a beach, a shower nor sweat has discolored or tarnished it.

Just a wonderfully masculine necklace and well sized Star of David. The Star is about the size of a US nickel with just the tips of the stars being outside the coin.... yes I checked.... lol. My son has wanted a small Star of David necklace for a long time... yet he is still a little young for real expensive one... This fit the bill between quality and price. Don't be afraid to buy this necklace for the Jewish man in your life.

As other reviewers have noted, the chain does not facilitate smooth movement of the pennant. However, the attachment for the pennant can easily be widened or the chain replaced. The vendor should consider selling the pendant separately or sourcing a chain that uses smaller links. After a few months, no visible damage, wear, or tarnishing of the pennant. I do not do anything to care for it. I do not take it off when showering or working out. So routine exposure to sweat and water is acceptable.

I purchased this necklace about 6 months ago for a friend. Recently he showed it to me and it looks like the surface is damaged and tarnished. It looks nothing like it does in the photo anymore. It even has rust appearing on it. It now looks like cheap, beat up costume jewelry which makes me wonder if it truly is silver. The chain is tarnished also but it seems like a fairly strong chain. I think I'll find him another pendant and have the chain polished by a local jeweler. My friend did not do anything to the necklace to add wear and tear to it. It just started to look this way on it's own without him abusing it in any way.

I can't believe how beautiful this necklace is. The pendant is really lovely. Tasteful and high quality. Other reviewers had mentioned that they were not as satisfied with the chain, but to be honest, the chain is working smoothly and looks completely appropriate. My boyfriend is 6'1" and the 24" chain is not even too long. It falls exactly as it should on him. What I like best about this necklace is that in total it all looks like it was made for a man. He loves it. Thank you to all the other reviewers. You helped me make a good decision. It really is perfect.

The actual pendant is awesome. It looks very nice and appears well-made for the price. My only complaint is like the others, the chain isn't bad, it's just a little iffy. It has a slight tendency to kink and the pendant doesn't always slide very freely on it. With a better chain, the thing would be just perfect or, really, with just the pendant itself, since I'm probably going to eventually just break down and buy a better one at some point. Still, absolutely worth getting!

The pendant in itself is an aesthetic pleasure, a small but conspicuously glossy star with a mirrored finished which resembled something made by the haute jewelers. I would give this a full five stars if it weren't for the bail, which is the tiny oval that clasps the pendant and the chain together; the bail is made from a highly malleable material which leads it to twist itself and make the pendant fall off at the slightest grasp.
