Indispensable if you are casting a bronze alloy
What more can I say? If you are casting any sort of bronze alloy you need this book. For me, the sections about the economics of setting up a working commercial foundry are wasted, but all the information about the bewildering array of metals that can be alloyed with copper, specific information on all those alloys, melting temp, strength, hardness, working time, etc is not something you can easily find anywhere else. It's all in this book.

A must have for Brass/Bronze casters
This book is a must have if you are interested in casting various Brass and Bronze alloys, it's mostly aimed at hobby metalcasters and those who want to start a side business. He goes into detail from melting to casting alloys from Red Brass to Silicon Bronze to Phosphor and Aluminum Bronzes. Plus a bunch of tips in casting that are worth the price of the book. And there's a nice section on what to avoid if you want to turn metal casting into a business, the advice will save you a lot of pain and money.

Best book on nonferrous casting.
For sandcasting brass, bronze, copper, nickel silver, this book surpasses all the popular books on bronze casting. Detailed, specific information on the alloys and their qualities. Troubleshooting foundry processes, plus good ideas about the business of casting. It's only shortcoming is it's dated, not current with ceramic shell or other recent innovations.
