This is a great TB5 enclosure. This enclosure with the right NVME is fast. I have used both the Samsung 990 Pro and Western Digital Black 850X NVME and the Western Digital was the better performer when transferring large files. The WD has a consistent transfer speed while the Samsung speed drop after 300GB of transfer. Heat was no issue but the drive does get warm. The only downside is my 2020 PC Laptop with TB3 was unable to detect this enclosure.

This ACASIS M.2 NVMe SSD enclosure delivers excellent performance and reliability. Setup was quick, and it connected seamlessly to my Thunderbolt 5/USB4 laptop with no drivers required. The cooling fan keeps temperatures down under load, which is great for sustained transfers. Speeds are very high and consistent — perfect for large file backups, video editing, or expanded storage on the go. Build quality feels sturdy and well designed. It’s not cheap, but for the speed and stability it offers, it does the job exactly as expected.

4 TB is high-speed reading and writing. Would buy again.
