TIME WARNER SPECTRUM FORMERLY TIME WARNER CABLE RC122 Backward Compatible Remote Control with Batteries For Cisco / Scientific Atlanta HD DVR Digital Receivers (Pack Of One) Review: Perfect replacement - This replacement remote control works perfectly. It was already programmed to function with my cable box, so that worked as soon as I installed the supplied batteries. The included instructions explained how to program other devices, and I was able to get the remote working with my TV on the first try. The remote was configured exactly like the original, so the button layout was familiar. I've had trouble with the original remote for a while. Wish I'd bought this replacement sooner! Review: Wow! What a difference a new remote makes! - Right as COVID-19 showed up in the U.S. (but before lockdown) our remote was on the fritz constantly. Since we got our equipment from Time Warner, before the switch to Spectrum, Spectrum refused to send us a new remote (even when I said they could tack on a fee to our account) and insisted I take it back to a Spectrum store to exchange for a new one. Have you ever visited a Spectrum store... or tried to get an appointment? Hard pass on that option. I found this remote on desertcart and figured why not give it a shot? It was totally affordable, arrived quickly (in this time of COVID-19) and came with batteries! It worked with our Spectrum straight out of the box but did have to be set to work with our TV (which was totally easy). It also works better than our old Time Warner remote ever did (which we used to have to hold at an odd angle in order to get it to work... even when we first got it)! I give this remote and the Seller A++ for ease and response.

Works, but not very convenient.
I ordered two remotes because our Spectrum remotes were only working about half the time. The remotes I received are working better, not great. One other thing about the remote is that you have to power on the cable box and the tv separately. No macro programming.

Excellent replacement remote
The remote was delivered quickly within several days. I have an older Cisco cable box and this worked perfectly right out of the bag. Setting it up to work with my Sony tv was very easy. I had previously gotten a replacement from my provider, Spectrum, that lacked many of the features of my original remote. This new remote brought back the full functionality of my system. I highly recommend it.

Both remote controllers work great.
Well, I bought two of these RC 122 remote controllers. They didn’t work out of the box with my Arris DCX3600M cable box. However, when I used the 991 code, it found my cable box and everything works fine.

Remote Needed New Cable Code to Work with Cisco Manufactured Cable Box
This remote was supposed to be programmed at the factory to control the Spectrum Cable Box manufactured by Cisco. It did not! This is the second one ordered since the first one had the same issue. Amazon offers a difference, effectively identical RC122 Spectrum remote which is said to be compatible with Spectrum Cable Boxes manufactured by Motorola. Upon receiving the second remote and confirming that it did work with a bedroom Cable Box manufactured by Motorola, I stumbled across a review comment that said the reviewer had the same problem after ordering one of the products from Amazon which would not work with the Cisco manufactured Spectrum Cable Box and then found that the remote had to be reprogrammed so the Cable button was updated with the code 0000. I used the code 0000 to reprogram the Cable button and THEN IT WORKED worked with the cable box manufactured by Cisco including LIST, GUIDE, and DVR functions. Hopefully this FIX can help others with the same problem.

Even works with off-brand sound bar
Although this is supposed to have the "Spectrum" logo, it arrived with the Time Warner logo. That's cosmetic (but did cause me to spend an extra dollar). This was very easy to set up with my Vizio (several codes work, not all offer every function). I was surprised that it also found a code for the off-brand sound bar we picked up a few yeas ago. The sound bar remote died and a replacement for that was $40, so this was a n unexpected surprise!
