good quality comfy booties
Just received these yesterday. I purchased 2 sets for my 75lb catahoula leopard girls in size medium. My dogs feet measure 2.75inches (definately less than 3 inches) when standing. I measured by tracing the largest feet on a sheet of paper. Im not exactly sure if this is the right size tho. They were a bit difficult to get on because my dogs are strong and active so I broke a sweat! Only kept them on for about 30 minutes to see if sizing & quality was good but I think these are very useful. The booties seem to fit just right without flopping. They fit like a very slightly loose thick new sock. The velcro like straps are sewn on well and hold strong. The rubber bottoms and fabric are like from a persons wet shoe but the top blue fabric has pin holes in it to allow the foot to breathe which is good. Bottom black rubber has treads. Will be good to protect from hot pavements or from sharp shells & glass on the beach. even Has reflective tape on the straps! I found that if they are strapped on snug enough the boot doesnt flip around on the foot and doesnt fall off. But Is this the right size or should there be more room I wonder?? Besides that my one girl with the sensitive paws and painful cuts seemed to like them. My other girl still needs to get used to them. I may order the large and see if the fit is better or is easier to put on. overall looks like a good quality bootie. I like the construction & length.

(EDITED) Best dog shoes!! Read details!
EDIT: It was raining really bad one day and they dried very fast! Not to mention because the shoes are a little bigger and the foot pad area is wide, my dog is able to fit her thumb nail into the shoes without discomfort. REVIEW: I have a small terrier mix who is 17 pounds. I was afraid these would be too big. I bought the size small in the neoprene solid blue print. Yes they are a little too big BUT what’s makes these shoes great, is that there is a slit in the back of them so I can have them up her legs and she’s still able to walk in them. It gets really hot where I live and the pavement gets really hot as well but these get the job done. Although they stay on, since they are a little big (1” big) the front ones kept sliding down which caused her to trip a little, but I’m sure that’s user error and can be adjusted with the Velcro! Overall I have tried 3 different brands of shoes: 1. The first being QUMYPET and those didn’t work for me because the dogs footpad has to sit in the shoe sole perfectly or the shoes don’t work as well. 2. The second brand I’ve tried was from Amazon as well, and instead of a zip or velcro it was more of a drawstring tie. These were ok but weren’t super secure and fell off easily. 3. The third pair are these BarkBrite shoes. I love them because: • It has protective rubber soles, but a breathable mesh for my dogs legs. Also since it’s neoprene material they can get wet and will dry fast. (Haven’t tested that yet) • There are no zippers just Velcro so putting them on was super easy! • the slit in the back is perfect so the dog has mobility when walking. Overall great purchase!

Fits my Great Dane well!
My Great Dane injured her nail recently and after a vet visit to fix it up, I needed something waterproof to help keep her foot dry and protected for potty breaks in our backyard here in the rainy and muddy Pacific Northwest. I knew she wouldn’t be wearing these for long periods, and she is too old for walks these days, so I only needed something cheap but easy to put on. Even though I wasn’t looking for anything particularly well made, these have exceeded my expectations! She needed a few weeks of healing and we got a freak snowstorm and ice storm during that time, and these were great to have on hand. She was able to walk normally in these and wasn’t as upset about it as I expected considering that she is a huge drama queen of a dog. She is 170 pounds, and is old and awkward, so I am really glad these are easy to put on and more than big enough. She isn’t thrilled with the sound of the Velcro, but I do find that having two straps helps these stay on much better than most boots I have put on my dogs, including far more expensive ones from brands like Ruffwear. These did tend to rub her ankle if she wore them for too long, but that might be because she was also wearing a sock (which helped with putting them on). The straps are very long and I think most people will want to cut them, I didn’t bother and they did occasionally end up getting stuck to the other. Since her foot was infected, these got gross and smelly so I had to wash them often. They did great in the washer. I let them air dry the first couple times I washed them, but eventually decided to let them go through the dryer. Zero issues after weeks of washing every other day! Most people will not need to wash them that often…unless your dog also tends to step on their own poop or has an infected paw with discharge, too 😳 I can’t speak to the durability of these for dogs who go on long walks, and I do think they would probably rub too much for a dog wearing them for long periods. But I would highly recommend them for short outdoor potty breaks or wearing around the house. We had her wear a boot on her injured paw overnight or when we had to leave the house because she could lick at her paw even with the largest cone they make (oh the joys of owning a giant dog with a giant snout) and it was a lifesaver to have something she couldn’t get off or lick through like she can with socks.

Difficult fit and straps
I have had these for over six months now. I had originally bought these for my dog when his paw pads were injured from a hike. While they were useful for recovery, I had been holding off on reviewing in case I figured out the best way to use them. Sizing: I would definitely see a benefit if these were sold in 2 instead of 4 or have the option available for those who have dogs with different sizings. My dogs back paws fit a medium perfectly but his front would not pass the fabric at all. I ended up getting the large and returning the medium. The issue I have with sizing is that his front fit the large, but it is to big for him. Even now with the adjustment of wearing the boots, he keeps on tripping on the extra space (mostly his front paws). He would also trip when he had socks on underneath. No matter what I do with the straps the extra spacing is always there. It would be great if there was some more size options for those that fall in between sizes. Straps: I have a complete love hate relationship with the straps. The love is that there are two and they are adjustable. Yep that’s it. I have so many complaints with the straps. One is that they are way too stretchy. I get they are stretchy because they are made for endurance and comfort/flexibility, but it is ridiculous how much stretch they have. The boots keep falling down or twisting so I have to constantly readjust them to the point where there is to much strap hanging free (and possibly cutting off blood circulation). Maybe this could be fixed if they used a less flexible strap (at least one that doesn’t continuously stretch). Also the reflector tape is purely tape and has already unglued itself from majority of the straps. I had to rip the rest off. Definitely an issue caused by the stretch of the strap itself. Durability: They are light and definitely not bulky like the hard rubber boots. The shape of it gives room for flexibility and running. I would not say it is durable. It will most certainly wear down from a certain amount of use especially on pavement within a year. And if your dog trips like mine, then you will be awarded chaffing on the soles and upper seems of the toes of the boots. Overall, Really wished they worked for my dog. It had all the right ideas such as the higher leg cover and a flexible boot shape and weight. I just think my dog didn’t fit the requirements of sizing which caused the majority of issues. I also believe that they need to use different type of straps. They can most certainly use stretch but use one with less stretch to avoid over extending. These will definitely be useful to those that have dogs that fit the sizing charts and fill the shoe in perfectly. Or for those who just need a protective sock for the injured. It could possibly work for dogs that can readjust their walking to the shoe, avoiding tripping. It is not for dogs who don’t fit the sizing and leave space in the boots. It will cause a tripping hazard and a headache of readjusting. Absolutely not for small breeds and short legs.

Excellent protection for dog’s paws!
These boots are wonderful for our collie! She is 75 pounds and I ordered her a large. They fit well and the Velcro makes it possible to put them on snuggly. They are very sturdy and durable and now that she has worn them a few times they molded to her paws and fit her well. She has allergies and licks her paws periodically, so I have two booties in the garage and two booties by the back door to put on her front paws in the mornings and the evenings when we walk her so that her irritated paws do not get wet with dew or rain on the grass. These booties do the trick, and she is able to walk and trot with them on easily. I had other disposable booties that she hated and would not walk in well and also had ordered a different pair of booties that were not this sturdy and that she also did not like. These come up high enough with the two Velcro closures and allow the knuckle to bend. They have nice tread on the bottom for some traction. I am very pleased and would recommend these to anyone who wants or needs to protect their dogs paws.

Disappointed. I had such high hopes for these
Went on our first summer walk with our new boots and they already have a hole. Yes, these have only been worn outdoors once and indoors twice to get used to them. I have a 15lb Westie and We only walked 2 miles in 77 degree (F) weather, so very mild. We live in the woods but we were waking in asphalt road. They did get dirty from straying off the asphalt and into the red dirt around our home. So disappointing, as these were the first boots I found that fit well, stay on and don’t make my dog walk funny. These seemed more comfortable than other brands/types we have tried. I was going to buy a second pair but now I dont think I will.

Awesome Boots!!!! Great for your Pup!
I have been searching for the right doggie boots for our senior pup. Oscar, who is 16 years old, started dragging his right hind leg when he goes for a walk. His leg is not in pain but dragging his foot made his toenails bleed. He does not like wearing booties and some were too stiff or bulky. I read the reviews on Bark Brite and I thought I'd give them a try. We are so glad we did! These booties fit so well. They are light, easy to put on, and do the job of protecting Oscar's paws. When I put them on, he does not walk "funny," so I know he feels comfortable wearing them. Make sure you measure your dog's paw according to the instructions given by Bark Brite. I got size S and they are the perfect size. Oscar weighs 45 pounds so you'd think he would need a size M, but that's not the case. He has small paws. So go by the size of your pup's paw and not by weight or breed. I also want to add that these boots look so cute! The sky blue will go well with every dog! Thank you for a great product!

Fell apart after one use.
Fit was good but they didn’t stay on well. Back feet flipped over as he walked so the rubber was on top and the mesh part ripped. The front one slid down but was still on but also got a hole. Only one use and they are pretty useless now. The walk was along the river on rocks so definitely not a good place for these type of shoes.
