The material is beautiful and it fit as expected. The measurements were pretty spot on, I'm a "pear" according to measurements of hips, waist, and bust, so the fact that you can only order by Small, Medium, or Large makes it tough for something that needs to fit just right to actually fit "just right." However, the measurement guide makes it clear that there aren't exact fit options, so I was aware prior to purchase that I needed to buy a Medium if I wanted it to fit around my hips. It did mean that the bust would be too big, which it was, so I had a friend take in the darts near the bust.Despite the limited sizing options (which is made very clear prior to buying), the dress seems to have nice sewed seams, the fabric is good quality for not being traditional silk, and the buttons are beautiful and sewn on well and align well with the holes.It definitely seemed to be the best cheongsam buy on Amazon that offered shipping from within the U.S.

I’m actually usually a size 10 (or 30”) in pants, dresses, etc. I ordered an 8 originally on accident cause I was doing the size chart wrong and for some reason thought an 8 was my size. So I ordered an additional dress in a 10. When they both got there, to my surprise after reading all the reviews telling people to size up, the 10 was somewhat big in areas. I wanted it to fit more like a glove. So I tried the 8 on and it was much better. The boob area is small. If you’re super busty, this dress might bulge at the claps— not a good look. The hip area stuck out a bit oddly because of the way it creased from being folded, and I gently ironed the sides down so that it fit against my body better. Got compliments all night. Beautifully made but a bit flimsy, treat it with care and you should be fine!

This dress is so beautifully made unfortunately the reviews about size are accurate. I am an American size 2 but this is definitely not a size 2 for women with any hips or curves. If those weren’t prohibitions, this would have been a truly beautiful dress. I fear that even if I went a size up, it wouldn’t be flattering because the proportions are not intended for women with curves namely in the lower region anatomically.

4 stars would be more appropriate since I wasn't quite satisfied with the way the dress fit.I will give 5 stars though due to the fact that I received endless amount of compliments on this dress.I ordered this dress for a international day at work and I decided to wear a Chinese dress.I don't have large chest but the dress still felt tight around the rib cage. Wasn't that bad since it didn't need alteration. Make sure you wear proper undergarments since the knots may come undone.Every person I came aross that day complimented on this dress and almost everyone who complimented asked me where I got the dress. People were in disbelief when I told them I got it from amazon.Downside is the dress is made of non breathable material , so I don't recommend wearing this on hot weather. You'd be sweating alot.

I was afraid that the dress was going to be too small based on previous reviews and so I ordered a size 10 initially (I'm usually a curvy 6-8 street clothes). The dress was way too big so I opted to get a size 6 and it fit well. The hips region is slightly too narrow but I have bigger hips/thighs in general. Overall I was very pleased with my dress and the price and impressed with the fast shipping and free return policy. I plan on wearing the dress for my wedding reception and don't think I would've found a better price in the U.S. (was originally planning on buying in China but the prices there for a good quality qipao is not cheap either!)

I'm 34-25-36, large - bubbles on my stomach, medium - wouldn't fit my butt. But the dress is so pretty that I decided to start tailoring these sort of dresses. If you don't mind that, then this dress will bring you glee once fittedOtherwise, pass by - they aren't meant for hourglass but for noodles

So I have a hourglass figure, measurements are 39-28-39, however because this dress is designed for someone with different figure, it did need to be taken in a bit. But it was gorgeous. I wore this to a work holiday party and many people complimented me during the evening.
