Perfect size that fits smaller books, snacks, a water bottle and a jacket for a weekend day trip. Nicely built and looks sharp for a young child. Light weight and good zipper with user friendly pull tabs.

This is a great starter bag for a kid, overall it seems durable and well made. It looks comfortable to wear. I do like the carry handle at the top that’s integrated with the straps. It has a main compartment that features a compatible hydration sleeve of the correct size if bought, it also has an admin compartment with 2 pockets in it and a fastened clip. On the outside it has 2 stretch pocket that hold pretty good. The color and design are spot on and great and the zippers work well for kids hands and adults as it has looping rope with plastic as the zipper pull tab. Again a good design. Osprey specs it at a 9 liter bag.

Absolutely perfect for PNW adventures outside. I love that it’s PFAS free and waterproof. We haven’t submerged it completely, but it handles rain with ease. Holds water bottle and a snack, teaching responsibility. Easy zipper for the kids which is nice! I’d say it’s a bit expensive but worth the price considering. I also love the bright colors which make hiking safer!

I love everything about this bag! It’s the perfect size for my 3 year old! She did a 5 mile hike mostly all on her own with this bag on her back! I was extremely proud and impressed. That tells you just how comfortable and lightweight this bag is. I love the built-in whistle feature. You can tell this is a high quality bag. Whenever I purchase items for my kids, I try to make conscious and mindful choices for their health and for the environment. So I really loved that this bag is made with PFAS-free material. Additionally, and as far as my knowledge, all Osprey packs are Bluesign Approved, which means that the manufacturing process is free from a list of toxic chemicals. While the bag isn’t waterproof, it is water resistant. For me, I didn’t need it to be completely waterproof so this wasn’t an issue. Although this bag is a little on the pricey side, the quality and the fact that it’s PFAS-free makes it worth the money.

Our whole family LOVES the Osprey brand so I got my 7yr old grandson his 1st Osprey backpack. I meant for him to use it hiking but he actually uses it as his daily school backpack. Osprey is a proven quality brand that is lightweight, with lots of storage and pockets. I’m sure he will have this for years to come.

About 3.95, design is great very lightweight and not bulky; you can put a lot of things-in a nutshell my toddler used this for forest summer camp and he’s able to put a small thermos for lunch, snacks, extra clothes but not his towel, epipen and other meds. Biggest complaint: it can injure you. The Velcro on the straps have sharp edges. It makes it look clean but beware! Also this is not big enough if you’re planning to use it for preK.

I am not a kid, but I am a petite woman and this fits great. I use it daily as a purse and get compliments all the time. I like the side pockets for water bottle or phone and generous inner pockets for wallet, cards, pocket calendar, etc. It is not too big and has better straps than many of the women's purse/backpacks out there.

Great little pack for my 6yr old. Needed a smaller bladder (1.5l) but it worked great for our Grand Canyon trip. We did multiple hikes and it has held up very well. Held the bladder along with his jacket, binoculars and snacks. Well done.

My 4yo son needed a backpack he could take to bush kinder, as he will be walking and carrying it himself. It's small, but only needs to be big enough for a change of clothes, water bottle and a sandwich box so this is perfect for us. The chest clip is a bonus to help him keep it on and in a comfortable position. It's incredibly lightweight and has great back support.
