The base has an adjustable feature so slightly different diameter flag poles can be used with it. But it's not easy to adjust and doesn't hold the pole securely. However, it works ok for my indoor use.

I recently moved from a large house with a big yard to a very small apartment with a tiny balcony. I miss having my patio flags you know the ones with the 2 things you poke in the ground and you can hang a little flag on. I can now use the stand and fly my little patio flag on my little balcony. I'm very pleased with it. Hope this helps.

This adjustable base has two pipes that have to be screwed into the bottom platform which makes it “adjustable” to fit any size flag pole. It is not as steady as the other stand I own that is not “adjustable.” I was looking for a base where the pipes were permanently affixed but I could not find one.I was thinking of returning the product, and then decided to keep it because it will be okay to use when I go traveling in my rv. On a positive note, it will be easy to store while traveling since it breaks down into three pieces. I would not recommend using this base on a permanent basis in the garden. I could not get the screws to stay fastened down tightly, and it did show signs of rust when I used it on the patio for a week. Guess I will have to put some WD40 on it. My older permanent base has never rusted, and I have owed it for over 5 years.I am still hunting for another permanent base.

I ordered two of these stands. One for myself and one for my Mom. Mine arrived in a torn piece of bubble wrap thrown in the bottom of the box. Only the base arrived without the posts needed to hold the flag stand. Looks like I got the one another reviewer returned!! Mom’s came neatly covered and taped in bubble wrap and then was sealed in a plastic bag. The stand is relatively sturdy and nice looking. One nifty feature is that the outside pole is on an adjustable slide to accommodate differences in flag pole stake widths.

I live in a condo and I always wanted to have a shepards hook to hang lights and plants on. I saw this stand and bought it. I have used it in the summer and winter and it works so well.

I received my flag base today. It looks so nice with the garden flag displayed. I just moved to an apartment so it's perfect since I don't have a yard to display my flags. I'm glad I don't have to return it, I didn't get a return form/ receipt ???

I bought this with a shepherd’s hook to hang my Dynatrap. Works great! Sturdy enough. Totally portable.
