Cuts clean dry hair real well but not oily hair , if your hair is oily, shampoo it and dry it thoroughly so hair cuts evenly.

Great quality guards. I use them with a Wahl Cordless Colour Pro and they fit perfectly. These are ideal if you want to keep your hair a bit longer on top than most standard clipper guards allow, where a number 8 is usually the longest. I find the number 14, 16 or 18 work great for a longer length on top, just start cutting with the highest guard number and work your way down through the guards until you find the desired length you want. The number 10 worked well for the back and sides. Very happy with my purchase, finally can give myself the length haircut I want without going to the barbers. Highly recommended!

I use the 2” and occasionally the 1-3/4” guards on my double-coated mutt (a Bearded Collie wanna-be). It’s a heck of a lot easier than hand scissoring his whole coat. You’ll have to lift the fur and sort of feed it into the clippers, but it’s not too hard. Eventually the guards want to slip off, but i just place duct tape at the back and that holds the guard on the clippers. I recommend these guards.

It's nice to not cut hair down to one inch, because these give a person other options.

The guards worked. I bought them thinking that I was going to keep my hair at 3" inches in length. But I just ended up using the 2" inch guard instead (Short, getting ready for Summer haircut). I have a twenty year old, Wahl clipper. Wahl Hair Clippers Model DS 305G. The plastic of the guards just seems a bit too rigid. My worry is that after a few years the retaining tab on the end of the guard could eventually break. Some one asked about fitting them back in the box. I wrote a description as I was taking mine out of the box.
